The location looked almost too pretty, too attractive to tourists, that I wasn't sure the food would be anything special. But it was!
The menu is best described as "world cuisine". We ordered some red table wine, a super creamy ceasar salad, and a curry & shrimp linguine. Portions were very generous, and the food was predictably heavy (in Portugese fashion), but delicious. We should have saved more room for dessert because they were incredible and HUGE! They have a whole dessert case full of local specialties like almond cake, carob cake, and this decadent rum & chocolate cake with ice cream. I almost died of pleasure/gluttony while eating this thing.
Service was super friendly and accommodating. We loved sitting under the twinkle lights, sipping wine, and watching the townspeople stroll and mingle. A sweet location with unique menu and Portugese hospitality. Oh yes, and Jonny the cafe cat. Lots to love!
