They don't take reservations, have a written menu, or have a written waitlist. You feel like you are eating at a friend's house. You have to be there really early to get a spot (for us, that was 8:20pm when they open at 8:30pm). The food is phenomenal! And the atmosphere is perfect for a break from routine. We went as a couple and would 100% recommend it!

The menu is limited: empanadas, humitas and tamales. However, they offer a dozen different types of empanadas. Intriguing concoctions like "Greek" and "Pumpkin" empanadas were listed alongside traditional favorites. My boyfriend decided we needed to try all of them! I ordered a humita just to mix it up, and I was not disappointed. I especially appreciated the clumps of fresh goat cheese hiding in the corn meal. The empanadas are solid. I didn't particularly care for some of the more exotic ones, but my boyfriend said that the Salteño was "the best he's ever eaten". Side note: He did have some major gas for the rest of the evening. Not necessarily a deterrent for him, but I made sure we stayed away for the next few days!

It took forever to get everything. We were 8 and ordered all kind of different stuff, from regional, to milanesas to pasta. The food took a very long time to arrive, and we had to call the waiter multiple times to get our drinks. If they can figure out this issue, it might get better, but when we pointed this to the manager, she just scoffed at it... so I guess is not going to happen any time soon.
