This place seems to be a Cafayate favorite. The walls are covered in signatures from guests and…read morenotes about how wonderful their meals were. It was casual and cozy. The menu is limited: empanadas, humitas and tamales. However, they offer a dozen different types of empanadas. Intriguing concoctions like "Greek" and "Pumpkin" empanadas were listed alongside traditional favorites. My boyfriend decided we needed to try all of them! I ordered a humita just to mix it up, and I was not disappointed. I especially appreciated the clumps of fresh goat cheese hiding in the corn meal. The empanadas are solid. I didn't particularly care for some of the more exotic ones, but my boyfriend said that the Salteño was "the best he's ever eaten". Side note: He did have some major gas for the rest of the evening. Not necessarily a deterrent for him, but I made sure we stayed away for the next few days!

We arrived early for lunch, so there was only one table of two already seated before us.The woman who seated us seemed uninterested, leisurely walking back and forth in the back for a couple minutes after she saw us standing at the door. Our server was a bit better, with just the minimal amount of attentiveness for us to be fed. Overall, come for the food, not the service.

It took forever to get everything. We were 8 and ordered all kind of different stuff, from regional, to milanesas to pasta. The food took a very long time to arrive, and we had to call the waiter multiple times to get our drinks. If they can figure out this issue, it might get better, but when we pointed this to the manager, she just scoffed at it... so I guess is not going to happen any time soon. Avoid, pretty sure there are better options. Btw, we could not make the wifi to work for any of us.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did Also, nice outside seating with a great view.
