We got the Lamb Short ribs, Rabbit and Sausage with breads in it, I forget the name. We also took a beer and soda and everything came in at just over 20€. Each plate came with rice and potatoes(french fires) also. I can't even find the words to describe how good everything was but I would love to come here again. One of the waiters is not the nicest but everybody else is super friendly. Everything I have tried has been excellent, even the salad is fresh and very tasty. The only thing I would keep away from is desserts, at least the chocolate mousse is not home made but the waiter was honest about it. Food is traditional Portuguese food, preparation and taste is as authentic as you can get. Portions are very generous and the price is really affordable. One serving usually feeds two people easily, you will be full by the end of the meal, I guarantee it! You can ask for a half serving if you are by yourself. The restaurant is non smoking, it can get pretty crowded, socially if you go on the weekends, but the very tasty food is well worth the wait!

I can't remember the menu because it was in Portugese, but we had what she had recommended - the homemade bread, bottle of homemade wine, fish with onions and potatoes and vegetables. This plus two desserts only set us back 15 eu plus tip. You have to work through the bones, but this gives it more flavor, and there is plenty of fish for a feast! The owner Angelinos, also had some homemade moonshine that we got to try. All of it was fantastic, and definitely where the locals eat! Our waiter, Raphael, was courteous and helpful with the all Portuguese menu. We ordered the house white wine and a bottle of still water. The wine was very good but very inexpensive. We started with soup, my wife with vegetable and me with seafood. While hers was good, mine was rich and flavorful and excellent (I had others in Portugal but this was the best). Then we had salad and chorizo sausage. Salad was adequate, but the sausage was done to perfection. Then came my wife's entree of pork cheeks with potatoes and a delicious cabbage mix. I had their goat, served in a pot with a luscious gravy that was perfect for dunking your bread in. With it were boiled potatoes and spinach. The spinach was pan seared with oil and garlic. The potatoes went well with the abundant gravy. Topped it off with the home made almond cake with a side of ice cream. All this for 75 euros. We came back to our hotel stuffed and satisfied. Full disclaimer- I don't speak Portuguese, and while the server didn't speak English, she was very patient and knew exactly what I wanted! The husband ordered the roast Pork Sandwich, while I just wanted the roasted pork. I wasn't sure about the portion size, but I knew I didn't want a whole or half a suckling- just SOME! And some we got- the perfect portion that allowed me to take some home to turn into sandes later the pork was so juicy and tender- and the flavor was deep and porky (sorry no other way to describe) the chicharron were crispy and flavorful,too. The waitress also served it with housemaid chips a salad of lettuces, agreed carrots, cabbage and tomatoes, and this incredible pepper sauce that packed a powerful flavorful punch!
