I tried the first time the apple wine with black currant and it was excellent ;-) They speak English here however, the menus are only in German. The waitress also spoke ok English and was very friendly and helpful. We tried the green sauce a local classic and a dish I love but, it was not so nice here. I loved my whole fish (Forelle) from the local area and it was excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted nice. We had apple rings for dessert another local dish and it was ok. All in all an ok experience. A decent choice for Hessen food in town but, I prefer other places for that here in town.

This was absolutely no problem as we were greeted at the door by Peter. I was led into a charming dining room on the arms of three strong gentlemen, and Peter had us seated at the very front table to avoid more stumbling around. The decor, the lighting, the comfortable seating - this is one of the coziest restaurants ever. The service was beyond compare as was the fantastic food. There is an entire menu page devoted to different schnitzels! My husband and I each chose one and had to share because they were both so delicious. The salad must have been picked moments before presentation with a homemade vinaigrette, the spaetzel melted in your mouth and the Apfelwein, a mellow honey gold, was the best I've had in years. The Apfelstrudel dessert topped off a wonderful evening. Do yourself a favor ... eat here.
