As the story unfolds, as told in the english menu, this Brodhaus was built for a baker by the local churches. The baker could live in and use this house to bake his bread for sale to whom ever wanted to purchase them. There was only one condition, he had to make all the wafers for all the local churches. What a sweet deal. Today the Brodhaus is restaurant and owned by the local brewery, Einbecker. (kind of like a McMenamins brew pub but much older.) Ok, I have to go by memory on this because for some reason I did not take notes. Yes the beer was really good. I order the seafood mix and it came in a creamy type sauce. with patatos. Nicely presented. Thats all I had so out the door I ran. Oh, the food was good too.
