First Americans the menu is NOT in in English however all of the staff and especially the cook (who I think is the owner?) speaks very good English and can go through the menu with you. This place does carry out and sit down. The interior is modern and classy. They have a nice size outdoor seating area as well. If you come in and order a carry out meal you get a free beer while you wait which I thought was awesome! Grolsch is the beer they serve and it is delicious. Grolsch is a light pilsner with a mild flavor. Very good beer for drinking with meals or an all nighter. Also note that Grolsch is brewed and bottled right in Enschede so anytime you get a Grolsch it is going to be very fresh! The menu is very diverse with lots of options. They have pizzas and a brick oven which they make them in. One visit I made my own pizza with cheese, mushroom, onion, and olives. I took it back to my hotel and was confused because it was not sliced at all? I thought they forgot to slice it but another time a coworker ordered a pizza as well and it was not sliced so maybe the Dutch like cutting their own pizza? Anyway not that big a deal because after figured out a way to slice it the taste was well worth the effort. Pizza was thin crusted and sprinkled with light seasoning. Very good! Another meal I got there was the Mix, which is a mix grill of three meats including: shoarma, kebab en kipfilet. This is chicken, steak, and pork. The kebab looks like a large hamburger patty but it after biting in it has a steak flavor that is very tender and well seasoned. The third time I got the Carbonara pastas which is pesto or spaghetti noodles (You get to pick) with a light carbonara sauce with bacon bits. Out of the three meals I had here this one was the one that was just average. Not bad just ok. The last two meals came with a salad and fries. Two out of the three times I was there the cook came around and said hello and asked how our meals were. His English was very good and he was very personable! Checkout time I discovered that Middelpunt WILL accept American credit cards with a magnetic strip however they do not accept American Express. Visa is accepted.

We came as a large group (16 people) and they were able to accommodate us with two tables adjacent to each other. The salmon was seared perfectly and doesn't fall apart into small pieces when you try to cut the fillet. The only downside is that they don't have an English menu which we struggled because only 2 in our group had beginner level in Dutch and everyone else speaks English, but you can get around that with their free WiFi and open Google Translate to figure it out. The wait staff also patiently explained their signature dishes. Price was quite reasonable as well

Well-cooked, good on herbs & spices without losing the meat taste. The side dishes (fries, stuffed potato, salad) we chose were simple but good, but let's face it, it's all about the meat here, and they did a really good job on that! Tried the salad with warm beacon and goat cheese, and a tournedos with a side dish for the main course. The salad was very tasty and well prepared. There was a bit too much goat cheese but other a perfect starter. The tournedos was order medium rare, but came closer to medium. It was served with fried mushrooms and bacon garnish in a red wine sauce. Over all very tasty and a good sized meal. I was very pleased. Has a glass of Santa Rosa Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot with the meal, a suggestion of the waiter. The wine was a great match to the meal. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, the service is excellent and the food is great. I would certainly recommend it to others that are in the region.
