I ordered a chocolate milk with a few scoops of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on top. I took a huge drink and nearly spat it back out, forcing myself to swallow what was RANCID MILK. I politely sent it back and said I would take another look at the menu. Even the best establishments can accidentally use sour milk, could happen to anyone! I was more than happy to just move on. However, that was when the chef, or bartender, or whoever he was came out red faced and shouting. He dressed me down, screaming that I don't know what in talking about, that he tasted it, that it was totally fresh. I can tell you- it was not. The smell alone was powerful and rotten. Screaming at customers like they're stupid children is just bad business. He made a fool of himself and me. I will not ever come back here.

All the same, everybody here was so accommodating and kind. The atmosphere is very low pressure, and for the most part easy-going, which is more than could be said for the place up the street where my family was turned away because they didn't have enough servers or kitchen staff to keep up with the crowds at sunset. From the very first moment they both were cold as ice, but when it started to drizzle over the outdoor seating terrace, things got very ugly. In brief, both waitresses demanded that we immediately move inside because THEY were getting wet and didn't want to come outside anymore. Not only was it barely raining, but my friends and I were in the middle of our lovely main course and practically being thrown out from our own table. The tone, the argument and the aggressionfor this kind of restaurantwas appaling. There are a 100 better reasons I could think of for asking your guests to move inside than that the waitress will get wet serving them, and then that coupled with the tone and anger behind the request was enough to ruin what would have otherwise been a truly fantastic meal in a gorgeous setting. My comments then stay as such: food great but service so bad that I'll never go back and would recommend anyone else who does to stay far away from those two angry waitresses.
