Specialties

This is one of the oldest buildings in Göttingen, and certainly the oldest pub. The interior is…read morethat of a classic old and well-loved pub, worn wood floor, old wood supporting beams. The food is moderately priced, but very good indeed, home-cooked to order. This is somewhere you can go for a few beers with friends, has historically been popular with artists, musicians, professors and students, but shouldn't be missed by tourists either. Occasionally has live folk-music get-togethers. Same owner for over 23 years, who clearly is devoted to this wonderful establishment. High class it is not, but first class it most certainly is.
