Situated amongst plenty of bright and attractive art pieces, the bistro moth offered up a handmade menu of 8 specials at or around 10 euros each. Three noodle dishes (veggie, meat, fish), a fresh fish dish, chicken and another dish or two in addition to what I ordered: the Kangaroo salad. I was a bit apprehensive having never eaten Kangaroo, but when in Rome ( or Russelesheim).....it was extremely tasty, not at all gamey and more similar to cattle beef than not. Really enjoyed the setting, ad the low key casual feel to the place. As well as the food of course! Cash only and be sure to make reservations.

The server was extremely friendly and took good care of us. The portions were very large and we had plenty of leftovers. Price was decent at right under 50 euros for food, drinks, and dessert. The main dish was served on a plate and was a huge disappointment. Looked like pre-prepared lumps of meat cooked on water. Grilled yes, but most probably during the day to be able to meet the amount of people to be served.. The waiter was smiling from ear to ear as his restaurant was filling up. Asked him if he had some sauce to go with the meat. He smiled and said: No way the cook will be able to prepare something. Honest, yes, but added to the disappointment. Could not match the fact that the restaurant was full with our experience. We tried some of the dish but tasted strange.Deceided to leave and have a coffee elsewhere. The place was easy to find and very comfortable to eat in peace. I recommend eating here if you get the chance. Note, they only accept Euros, no credit cards.

When we had trouble deciding on a specialty pizza the owner said if we did not like what we ordered he would make any other pizza for us at no cost. WOW! However, we did not need to worry. The specialty pizza he suggested with a thin crust, white sauce, and bacon was to die for. we were not very hungry that night but the entire pizza disappeared because we could not stop eating the yumminess.
