They only serve seafood here and I have very high standards for seafood but was not disappointed at all. Everything tasted fresh, cooked perfectly, and delicious. My favorite meal while in Strasbourg! I had the tartare to start and then the monkfish.

In a hot hot day, after phone conversation with the owner, the server generously welcomed us to have lunch. The interior is very clean and stylish. Food was quite milder taste than original Korean food, but it tastes good enough. We visited 4 Korean restaurants while we traveled Europe for a month this summer: Paris, Rome, Vienna, and this on Strasbourg. This is the best for stylish interior and cleanness, but it's quite pricy for lunch: most of them around €13-15. Will be back if we visit Strasbourg again:)

The food is great and prices are decent but a little on the pricier side compared to what we are used to paying in Southern California. They do have the thai chiles in fish sauce if you ask for them and the chiles are nice and hot. You can catch a few that will sting you pretty good but wouldn't want it any other way. We will be going back on a regular basis to get our fix in.

This is a small unassuming place that exudes "mom and pop", so much so, I had a great chat with the owner in Vietnamese. He looks gruff and stoic, but really opened up in a caring way during our short convo about our families, how long he's been in France, when he left Vietnam, and more. This place is pretty authentic folks, take it from a guy who has been making his own pho at home for decades. The broth is meaty but clean, coats the lips the way it should, and makes the taste buds dance with anise, cinnamon, fennel... The Dac Biet is more spartan than other places in the world, but the rare beef, well done brisket, and beef balls were just perfect. I was happy and surprised to see sawtooth coriander in Strasbourg along the fresh veggies (save for one slightly sad looking basil leaf). It's delicious. It warms you up from the inside out. And it's a welcoming flavor departure from all the charcroute, Munster cheese, and tarte flambee you've been gorging on.
