Greeted and professionally hosted, we sat down and they brought me a menu in English so I could read it. The menu was extensive, from steaks to Greek and Mediterranean, to traditional German. I skipped appetizers but my colleagues ate the baked feta with bread and the other had the prawns with herb butter. Both dishes looked so good. I went with the onion soup- really well done, not too salty, and piping hot, just the way soup should be served. With my dinner I had a glass of Riesling, dry and sweet but not excessively sweet. I ordered the schnitzel, that first came with a house salad. Sides was a small tomato rice, also came with fries and a sauce (I chose hollandaise which had mushrooms but I dug around those). I destroyed my plate. Didn't finish the fries, I was too full. They provided a small traditional drink at the end of the meal, which was a beautiful touch. Support small owned businesses! Their hamburgers are large. The schnitzel is just ok and I don't think I'll get it here again. I think I'll order the salad next time. In the summer it's nice because you can sit outside along the "water" with a beer. One time we got a carafe of wine and that was a good way to share wine between two people. Even if you didn't plan ahead on a Saturday night with a reservation, you can probably get in here.
