I paired our meal with Rivella and a nice glass of red wine. Friendly staff. Able to speak French, Germans, and English. Interior of restaurant is very clean. I ordered a gnocchi with zucchini in a safran cream sauce. The gnocchi had a marshmallow texture that left me feeling unnaturally full despite not eating more than half. Not sure what fillers it's made with but it also lacks any flavor. Zucchini was cooked well. Gipsy Kings was playing the whole time in the background. I enjoy them but for someone that doesn't, the constant unchanging music may be unsettling.

The rates are the best I have seen around. The hotel is a bit far from Basel, maybe around an hour by train. But definitely worth the trip if you compare prices to Basel hotels which start at $350 a night.
