We were lucky and got a table on a whim later Sunday evening. After being seated on the patio at high top table, we actually gasped seeing the view. It's UNREAL. For the entire dinner, it's almost distracting to just keep staring out at the mountains, water and yachts looming down below. Gorgeous. The service matches the hotels 5-star expectations. Super attentive, quick, and friendly. We had drinks to celebrate a proposal and they also brought out some on the house champagne. For dinner, we actually split the blue lobster pasta. It was more than plenty for 2 people. Absolutely delicious. They bring the lobster and pasta out to mix together in front of you and ugh I am still thinking about that dish to this day. Its a hike to get up to this point. Once you reach the gated area, no cars can reach the top. Well worth the challenge to get up and it's such a unique experience. The walk up is all along the hillside and through the little mountain shops. 100% felt like I was in a movie and would love to come back to stay at the hotel. I don't think they couldn't created a better experience here between the food, menu, view, and service... I wouldn't change a thing.

It can get windy and chilly so ask for a blanket which they will kindly provide. Service was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Tip: when you leave the restaurant, stop by the bathroom across the hall in the hotel lobby. It's white marble and plays opera music...reminds you from the scene of The Shining.

The hospitality was overwhelming and authentic. Both nights Marco (the manager, I believe) welcomed us and complimentary cocktails quickly found their way to our table. The al fresco seating in the back has a lovely Asian air to it, and the food was wonderful. Antibes is not a stop for misers, but the prix-fixe 3-course was well priced and alternated options each evening. It was not completely up and running during our visit at the end of May - but it seems that this turns into a night spot as well - with karaoke. Not sure how that impacts the serene and romantic atmosphere that we enjoyed, but it definitely can add some fun to an evening after an amazing meal and copious wine.

The food was quintessentially French with a touch of Moroccan influence. This was the first time we had warm Camembert cheese with roasted maple syrup as appetiser. Loved the texture and the contrasting flavours. We ordered the salmon and duck for main - both were made to perfection! The sauce matched the food real well and we ordered some extra bread to soak up the sauce! It also went really well with a bottle of fine sparkling Lambrusco. Topped off the meal with some home made tiramisu! We will definitely be back for lunch tomorrow!

The young chef trained at Gordon Ramsey's two-Michelin-star restaurant in Paris and his outstanding pedigree shines through in the cuisine. We started with two amuse bouche, a lovely light mushroom soup and a delicious butternut squash purée with Parmesan crusted morsels. Next, we loved the crab ravioli which came bathed in a wistful coconut foam; interesting dish with rich flavors and a mix of textures. For main course, we had the duck breast which was perfectly cooked medium rare and absolutely melted in the mouth with a divine savory sauce that we cleaned off our plates with bread after finishing the duck. For dessert, I had poached pears with local goat cheese and homemade gelato; fantastic mix of textures, flavors, and temperatures. My husband had a ball of darks chocolate, dusted with gold flecks and filled with sorbet, over which a hot coconut based consumme was poured, causing the chocolate and sorbet to break and meld together. All this for less than €40 per person. Our server Levy was a very nice young man who spoke English well and always spent a few extra minutes with us to explain the dishes and help us choose what to order. Although we didn't arrive on time for our reservation and all the tables in the restaurant were full, the staff set a table for us upstairs and made us feel right at home. All in all, a wonderful meal at a great value with a gracious staff and precocious chef with a bright future. La Litote means "the understatement," an apt name for this excellent but unpretentious restaurant. Highly recommended.

The setting is nice - there's an inside section and outdoor section, but on the day we went for dinner everyone was herded outside. You can probably sit inside if you'd like, but there was no one there. It started off very well. The person who seated us was friendly and quickly got us situated. The first inkling something was off was that despite it only being 7PM they were already out of the fish of the day, a crab appetizer, and another item I forget. We placed our order. The apps came in a reasonable amount of time. The oysters were very good. Then came an almost 40 minute wait for our main courses! I suspect that they were trying to cook certain items all at once because I noticed that a table who sat half an hour before us, received the exact same main course (the lamb) only minutes after us despite also having apps. It was bland. By this time we were quite hungry. What didn't help was that my scallops main had the tiniest scallops I've seen. I'm not joking - it was literally the smallest scallops I've ever been served in restaurants to the points that I wonder if they've been halved! I considered ordering something else but that wait before deterred me. For dessert, we ordered the souffle, and it's a little strange as it only seemed to really have a souffle top and just cream on the bottom. I can't recommend this place as the prices were quite high for mediocre food masquerading as fine dining.

The pasta was freshly made, and the langouste was actually of a larger size than I had initially thought, similar to lobster, except the shell is harder and pointier - Papardelles with lobster and shellfish, chanterelles: This dish had a lot of chanterelles, which I loved and the sauce was a light sauce (which actually tasted of the the Bisque from the Langouste menu) - Scallops, black rice and champagne froth with old parmesan: Delicious! Scallops are unlike anything I have tasted, so fresh and can still taste of the sea - Roasted octopus tentacles with spices: A lot of pieces of octopus that were deliciously cooked and tender Overall, highly recommend!
