The appetizer assortment tasted like it had been made two days ago and been congealing on the counter ever since. I stopped at the second taste since it included fish. My main was Ceviche - a simple dish endemic to Central & South America where we spend allot of time. There was no lime or lemon juice to speak of, what little bit of fish was in it was rotten and stung my tongue (food poisoning alert!), and it had a gooey pasty consistency exacerbated by a sweet potato mush they'd squeezed over it. The presentation was simply barf-like. My husband had the fish that was tasteless but edible. I ate none of my meal. The waitress never asked why. The bill was high for the horrendous quality. Bleech! To be avoided at all costs including starvation!

As I sat down and was looking at the menu, I realised that all the customers were locals. Good sign! Also, the waitress didn't really speak English. Another good sign in a way! :) Combination of our collective French language knowledge and a bit of Google Translate help, we managed to more or less work out what was what. I had a duck & prawn salad. It was delicious! So good! I am not a massive wine drinker although have drank it more recently. So since we were in France, I decided to have some wine. Since I don't know much and also it was in French, I just went for what I believe was the house wine (the white). It tasted good to me. :) As I mentioned, the waitress did not speak English but the service was good. They kept topping up the bread and did their best to help us order etc. The restaurant has various different offers (set menus).
