First of all they have a sign outside that says the buffet is 15.90 (but it is 17.90). I asked why 17.90 and they told me the sign was old and needed to be changed. The acoustics are horrible so you cannot even hear yourself think. The food...Oh the food. I was seriously ill before I even finished, but we will get back to that. I ordered a Perrier at 2.90 and it was just a small can. The server spilled noodles in my glass and would not replace my drink or take it off of the bill. Not a joke! Then the server took my husband's silverware while he was filling his plate at the buffet and never bothered to bring him another set. The food tasted horrible. I know one should not hold high standards for buffet food, but this was subpar! The tongs and spoons were thrown into the food and people were getting it on their hands as they had to touch the food (mostly the desserts) to pull them out. Then came the horrible feeling of being sick. I cannot say exactly what made me ill, but something surely did. I am very sorry to write such a review, and perhaps if the server had been more accomodating I would feel a bit more hesitant to leave one.

When you walk through the doors it looks like any other buffet Chinese restaurant, but as we were seated, we noticed that the seating was especially cramped in a place where getting up and walking back and forth to the buffet is happening at every table. Although it had been a hot day, the place was uncomfortably warm inside, and the ceiling fans were set only on very low. Of the food, the samosas were disappointingly soft, and the spring rolls were just not very good. All the bad things aside, we all really enjoyed the food. The nems were great, the duck was delicious, the chicken was tender, and the selection was a higher standard than we have had elsewhere at buffets in France. Our son was especially excited about the all-he-could-drink slush puppies, and our daughter supped a virgin piña colada!

This small unassuming restaurant seems a favourite of Chinese expats or French-Chinese families - always great sign of a restaurant's authenticity. I ordered the wok of tofu (another rare sight in bordeaux) and leeks on rice. It was absolutely amazing the friendly staff even made a few suggestions when I asked for help with the menu. The ambiance is clean and modern. Check it out if you're in town and need a break from the French food this city has to offer. I know I often do, and will therefore be back!
