The tarts are super tasty and there are some with meat as well. The crust is a corn meal base and nice and smooth. I ate the chicken curry tart, very good. The salad is a true chopped salad with so many different delicious veggies chopped up inside. We enjoyed a light lunch here in Sanary. The owner was very nice who also spoke a bit of English for you non French speakers.

As soon as you get off the stop, the cafe is just a stone's throw away - same side turn right at the corner. When you arrive and look through the window of the cozy, quaint, and charming cafe, you'll be welcomed with a warm and beautiful smile from Audrey, the owner and chef extraordinaire. She uses fresh - imagine the sound of baguette crackling on every bite! - sustainable, and farm-fresh ingredients where the chickens roam freely with lots of friends eating like kings and queens 'til their number is called for worthy sacrifice. Audrey's food is all homemade on the spot and she supports her community by offering local wines - I'm a big fan of the red from Le Chateau de Castille. There was 6 in our party and that gave us a chance to sample more offerings from La Tortue. We skipped the very tempting appetizers and ordered our entrees. My wife had an entree Ceasar Salad and I selected the Paleron De Boeuf. The Ceasar Salad came with lightly breaded, crispy chicken (apparently a local tradition) and a creamy anchovie dressing. The Paleron De Beef was very reminiscent of Beef Bourgonone, with a mildly sweet sauce and served over a bed of mashed potatoes. The offerings were absolutely perfect. We are returning tonight to try some more of their menu and their extensive dessert menu.
