This is a lovely hotel with a warm and professional staff, run by the Kunz family who are from Winzeln and know the area and its history well. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice beds and bathrooms. My room looked out over the street in front of the hotel and offered a nice view as well as abundant fresh air. The hotel is set in the village of Winzeln but it is quiet and there is ample free parking for your car. The restaurant is first rate with delicious cuisine of the area and very good service from the staff. They also feature local wines and beers. One night I had the Pfalz menu, and the other night I had the fish menu. The cuisine is very good. So good I would choose to eat there every night for several nights before I grew tired of the menu. Stopped here on a business trip. Started with the mushroom crepe, amazing. Then I had the prawns in lobster sauce and handmade noodles, the sauce was so incredibly good. For dessert the apple sherbet was priceless and the creme brûlée were so good. On top of it all Fabio the waiter, fluent in three languages was top notch service. This restaurant is world class! Had the mixed fish with home made noodles after the mushroom crepe with cream sauce. They gave us a salmon mousse appetiser and a coconut mousse with raspberry sauce dessert. And we had the apple sherbet to with sparkling wine dessert. Wow! The hotel is great too!
