They were told the kitchen was closed, which is completely fair. What happened afterward was not. The men politely asked if they could see a menu and make a reservation for the following day. They were not argumentative whatsoever about being unable to eat that night. The waiter refused to give them a menu or make a reservation and said, "You came all the way from India to look at a menu?" The men again responded politely. The waiter then said, "You Indian people are always showing up so late." It was completely uncalled for and extremely uncomfortable to witness. Nothing about the behavior of these two men warranted being spoken to that way. People should be treated based on their actions, not stereotyped or discriminated against because of their race or ethnicity. My girlfriend and I were so uncomfortable with what we witnessed that we decided to leave. On our way out, I spoke with the two men and told them that I had witnessed the interaction and thought the way they were treated was completely inappropriate. Despite the food being great, I will not support a restaurant where I personally witnessed customers being treated this way.

After having been on the road for several weeks already and not always eating the best food throughout the day, I decided to treat myself to a vegetable-forward dinner. A quick internet research led me to this place and I made a reservation for one. I wasn't disappointed at all. In fact, this was the best meals I've had in a long time. What I loved most about this place is how they structured their menu: vegan and vegetarian dishes first and then - almost as an afterthought- come the meat dishes. Well done!
