The Buffet Salad bar has the typical mixed greens, sliced pepperoni, tomatoes in different sizes and form, black beans and white bean, over soggy red beet sliced, surely canned sweet corn and shreded carrots. There was soma mozzarella but not much. Choice of dressings are French, Italian and Balsamico. The salad buffet didn't excite me. The salad greens looks like they are too dehydrated. The combination of the ingredients does not seem to have in the mind of the person who prepared the buffet. It is like --- LET'S JUST FIND EVERY VEGETABLE IN THE KITCHEN AND CALL IT SALAD. Leaves were wilted, carrots are dry, the red beet -- swimming in water. I just got a few read beans and drizzle it with Italian sauce. The Pasta Buffet (or was it soup buffet) was totally frustrating. The spaghetti and penne were al dente but the sauces like bolognese, amatriciana and verdura were almost liquid.... I THOUGHT THEY WERE JOKING. The sides of the sauce carbonara server is so yellow. Is it too much oil, butter or was many times defrosted? That is what I get for sfr. 13+ The only nice thing is the waitress who smiles. If you want quantity over quality this is the place to be. I believe Pasta Buffet is 1x a week.

The food: the chef is definitely a magician of ingredients and presentation. I had my best risotto ever. The arugula added very exquisite taste to the risotto, and the lobster tail and scallops were very fresh. I also had the soup it was fantastic as well. I didn't know it's a Michelin star restaurant until I read the other review here, and I found it's true. From my Michelin restaurant experiences I think one star is very humble. Definitely should go there if you ever close to the area. There's peaceful and beautiful lake and this gourmet place to enjoy the food of the day. Especially for Americans, don't miss this gem, you know what I meant!

He got 17 Gault Millau points and a Michelin star because of his light Swiss cuisine that effortlessly integrates Asian elements and spices into it, without becoming a fusion or Eurasian cuisine. The amuse bouches were delicious, but the non-pastry highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the luxurious foie gras variation, the best of its kind. They offer a six-course gourmet menu for just CHF 140.-, great value for money. Be careful: You'll feel VERY full afterwards! The restaurant offers the best classic Swiss desserts I've had so far. What would be boring and lazy in other restaurants is made fascinating by the amount of love and attention put into the desserts. Marc Hohl, chef August Minikus' sous-chef, makes a cream parfait with figs in a spicy red wine jus that are just to die for! And their vanilla ice cream is the best in the country. We came from South Florida so we have pier restaurants all over and I wanted that vibe. It certainly delivered but it was still cold and windy so I can't wait to return in the spring! Our waiter was awesome. He spoke English and helped us understand some of menu items. We chose the shrimp appetizer which was amazing! You get bread to get all of that garlic and butter afterwards! I then had the fish...nuggets? Whatever they were, they were fresh, perfectly battered and fried to perfection. View of Lake Constance makes it all the better. Good food, great staff, fantastic view! What more could you ask for?
