What a fantastic restaurant! Beautifully located in the picturesque Chiemgau. We had flawless service and a flexibility that is almost unheard of in Germany. The steaks were grilled exactly how they were ordered (not a given in Germany) and the Argentinian wine was perfect. And when we felt comfy enough to dare to ask the (for Germany) unheard of: "Can we have the espresso outside on the terrace" (Where another waitress works. Die gute regionale Küche im Traditionsgasthaus "Zum Goldenen Pflug" genießt man in wunderschönen, alten Gaststuben und Sälen mit Gewölben, Säulen und Stuck oder im historischen Innenhof-Biergarten. Die Geschichte des Goldenen Pflugs reicht vermutlich mehr als 400 Jahre zurück. Das beliebte Gasthaus gehört damit zu den ältesten Wirtschaften im Chiemgau.

History

Established in 1581.

1581 ließ das Kloster St. Peter, zu dem Gut Ising damals gehörte, eine "Hof- und Tafernwirtschaft" im Petershaus errichten, aus der später der Goldene Pflug entspand. Alles begann nach den vorliegenden Unterlagen am Stammtisch und dem gegenüberliegenden Tisch. So genießt man hier bereits seit Generationen frische, ausgewählte, bayerische Küche und Chiemgauer Spezialitäten, frischen Fisch und feine vegetarische Alternativen in einem Ambiente geprägt durch nostalgischen Charme und Tradition. Die Gaststube des Goldenen Pflugs befindet sich im Petershaus des Hotels, dem ältesten Haus auf Gut Ising, das 1581 das 1. Mal urkundlich erwähnt wurde.
