The venue is on the smaller side, but because of that it is perfect for smaller concerts. There are some plush movie theatre seats along a couple of walls to rest your butt as well as couple of tables and bar stools to sit on - which is always appreciated. :) Major brownie points for the sound system! I was standing further back, closer to the DJ area, during the concert and the sound was still top notch! The bar area was very crowded since there was only one (due to space constraints), you can only buy that weird Afri cola instead of proper Coca Cola and the drinks were fairly expensive, but I am still happy to return any time a band of interest will have a show there since everything else made up for it. :)

The food is great too. I order the Frankfurter and potatoes dish that was excellent. The Frankfurter had a nice snappy casing and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. We also order a German flat pizza that is called flammkuchen. It was great!! It had mushrooms, grill onions and bit of cheese. I am a fan!! The service is great and the place is kept very clean. I will be back for sure.

Very pleasant place for German food…read more I'm updating and adding a fourth star. Not much has changed but my reasoning for adding a star is simple. Mrs. S and I realized how tough it was in my neck of the woods to find a really pleasant place with good eats, decent wine selection and easy on the wallet..... without having to cross either the Rhine or the Main rivers. It's as if I live in a cursed patch with no obvious alternatives. Then II realized I'd never taken her to Schaab Louis and hadn't been my self for quite some time. Simply put: lovely weingarten, solid German fare at fair prices, good selection of local German wines at fair prices. I'd been moaning about not having such a place when it was right under my nose. Mrs. S. loved it! We'll be back soon.
