we met my wifes work peeps here for dinner. they have game once a year, and tonight we got to…read moresample some of switzerlands finest game. it was a 4 course meal, consisting of 2 entrees, a salad, and an appetizer. the soup appetizer was served with a straw, which was the fist time I have had soup this way (pretty cool, gonna try it when I get home). we then had a salad and some more wine and bread. they brought in our entrees, dressed the plates and served them. meat was tender as all get out, and the spatzel was astounding. I would have licked the plate if it was socially acceptable. I liked how everything was served at just the right time. this place has it going on, and at 70 CHF per person, it was worth every CHF. It would help if you spoke French, as every waitress understood English, but preferred French, which was ok. loved it very much. we would definitely come back again!! Merci !!

The dessert 'tarte à la raisinee" is the bomb. The place is local style, wood inside, huge place around for the kids, magnificent terrace for summerdays (happens sometimes...), really good location for families. Now: If you don't want to be with families and kids, don't go there...especially on lunch times...and on Sundays... If you don't like flies around you, don't go there! Heaps of cows and horses around...means heaps of flies. But don't worry, you will never find those insects in your plate. :) The owner, in his early fifties, is not very sympathetic... But efficient. And the other waiters are kind and smiley.
