I do so love to try typical American food in other countries. So far, Cinema is the winner. The pizza had a thin, crispy, baked crust and generous toppings, loaded with flavor.
I had a 'Hawaiian' pizza and subbed spicy salami (aka pepperoni) for the ham. The bacon is a cubed, farm type bacon, not the typical American sliced version. It was tasty and could use a bit more cooking to bring out its flavor and crisp it up some.
Pineapple on pizza is always good and there was just enough. The garlicky onions were a perfect savory balance to the pineapple.
One thing I can never understand overseas is corn on pizza. No, just No. This one had corn on it. It adds nothing but also takes nothing away. If they want to add one more thing, perhaps some sun dried tomato bits would go better with it than....corn.
It had a light coating of pizza sauce on the crust.
Bread with garlic butter and green & black olives (with pits) came with the meal, a nice touch.
Atmosphere is comfortable, not pretentious and I think it would be easy to hang out here for a long while with friends and drinks. read more
