We ate their food twice during our weeklong stay in Lofer. The first night, we ate at the hotel restaurant and were pleased with our meal and service by Kristoff. Seeing as it was our first time back in the region 20 years, we went traditional and got Wiener schnitzel and goulash. Of course my husband and I had Stiegl Brau (our favorite and very difficult to find in the states) and my children were introduced to a regional soda called Almdudler. Anyway, we finished our meal with Coupe Danmarks (hot fudge sundaes) and made plans to return that Sat night for the Farmer's Buffet. We didn't make it, however, due to fatigue from a long hike. However, we did try their takeout pizza one night. It was quite tasty. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed eating in the cafe, as smoking is allowed, but I was happy to do takeout. read more
