Sorry Nate nation the Germany posts will be without me lady's commentary but I might still add some of the comments and commentary of Me coworkers. Eckstein... my first German review and simply enough it was the. best. schnitzel. and meal. I. had. in. Germany. two weeks, this is the top of the top. The service strightly German, the menu, strictly German - does it matter? NOPE this food was so good so fresh the flavors blasted my flavor recepeptors... we went back TWICE - first meal is pictured got the friend potatotes with my schnitzel, second meal second meal I paid the extra euros to upgrade those potatoes to mashed potatoes and I tell you what.... I tell you what... it is worth every pence. Dine here. eat here. Eckstein is doing it right they are doing it really really right!

on the Small Town Germany food tour another co-worker favorite, yes it was so good that we went…read moretwice yes the second time did not live up to the expectations on the food side because the menu changed and we could not translate well and did not know what we ordered, yes the service was absolutley exceptional and yes I would still recommend this even though our second meal was different because that was our fault not the cooks. and yes I did get kindernuggets both times and both times THEY DID NOT DISSAPPOINT!!!!! Welcome to the scene kolpinghaus! the staff there is so incredibly nice it was warm in the building for us and both times they opened their bier garten just for us. the first time we went I could not tell you what I ordered I saw a picture of it on Google reviews and showed it and the cooks just chef'd it up! there was a bone in it the meat was good all the food was always fresh. My coworker said that the veal they had the first night was the best veal they have ever had in their entire existance on this planet. The second time we went I went with the friend snitzel and it just wasn't as good as Escker it was the second best schnitzel I have had but the Escker review really tops the charts for my schnitzel german existence. all in all I would recommend Kolpinghaus to any and all

This is one of the very best restaurants I've ever been to in my life. It's an experience that few…read moreplaces can rival because it's about the people and the food and the atmosphere. The food is exquisite! Frau Uli is a fantastic chef and the meals are prepared and presented simple and perfectly. There is no pretense, it's wonderful steaks, beautiful tasty salads and potatoes to die for... All in good proportions and at a very fair price. Uli is a perfect host! Wonderful stories and friendly, he is an expert at putting his guests at ease. He knows his Rums and Scotches (and all liquors I'm sure), it's a real treat to have him select an after dinner digestif. Without Uli this would just be a fantastic place to eat but it's so much more! The restaurant is in a wonderful old German building, I'm assuming an old guest house. I could write a 1000 words and I still could not do it justice, go and enjoy!
