They spoke English and accepted American credit cards. This was down the street from our Air BnB so we decided to walk over on our first night there. The staff was very friendly and sat us down right away. She gave us some translations on the menu and let us order drinks first. The service was really slow, it seemed like our waitress was the only one working all the tables. The kids were hungry so we were disappointed in the time it took for her to come back to take our actual food order and time it took to receive the food. The kids ordered a combination of chicken bits, these little deep fried balls that tasted like potatoes and gravy, and french fries. They did not like the deep fried balls I think they're called bitterballens. I enjoyed them but the kiddos did not. I ordered their special of the vegetable curry and rice. Sadly, it wasn't very good. There wasn't much curry and the broth was not thick at all. It smelled like a thai inspired curry but it missed the mark big time. And the portion size was so small I was still hungry. My hubby travels to Rotterdam often so if we were to go back I may give it another go. It was a great location and it seemed crowded on other nights we we were there. read more
