Located in a really well situated area of Zürich. We stayed for two nights and we had an exceptional view from the hotel room window. Our room was very nice with a big bed and lounging couch and nice bathroom. The hotel is in a perfect place for walking around the city. We could walk outside and directly to the river, that was so pleasant. We noticed the locals were jumping into the river to swim so we decided to do the same. It was brisk and refreshing!!! I overall loved visiting Zürich, it's a really cool city, and staying here was just part of that enjoyment. The Thai restaurant White Elephant was delicious and so awesome to have in the hotel.

We were a short walk away from most of the shops/sights that we wanted to go to. It was also convenient since it was less than 1/2 mile from the train station. There's a lounge in there for Marriott members that serves breakfast, snacks during the day, and even dinner. This saved us a lot of deciding where to eat and we could grab something quick when we didn't want to walk to a restaurant. The hotel staff was all very kind and helped us out a lot.

Hotel St. George's - Zürich…read more This small, three story boutique hotel located centrally in downtown Zürich, with accommodating staff. I walked to this hotel from "HB Train Station," when I first arrived in Zürich. I wanted to explore by foot streets of Zürich. When I walked in, I really enjoyed the lobby (I forgot to take pics ). It offers a touch of historic elegance. Lobby area also leads to their own restaurant area. Breakfast can be purchased separately at the restaurant or at the time of booking. Once the friendly front desk lady finished accommodating a guest before me, she invited me to sit at the comfortable furniture by her desk, to check in. As she assisted me to check in, at some point in our conversation, I mentioned that I forgot my universal outlet adapter. She said, "I do have one extra I can give you for 10 Swiss Francs." It was her personal one. I felt bad she was giving up hers, but I was so grateful. "Thank you for offering me one, yes I will take it. I researched that it would cost 30+ Swiss Francs at a store." It was a wonderful first impression of the friendly and welcoming staff. Once I received my key, another staff member guided me to elevator and up to my room. The room was fairly small with a small bed, and personal sink, but for solo traveler, it's perfect. (All other hotels were more expensive and further away from downtown). You do share toilet and shower with other guests. Each of the three floors, offers few toilet rooms and shower rooms. At first, I was a bit concerned since I've never stayed in hotel with this type of arrangement. But, honestly, it was not an inconvenience in any way. I never had to wait for other guests. I had a balcony that I walked out every morning and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Every night, I propped my window open, fell asleep and enjoyed waking up each morning to chirping birds. Overall I would recommend this hotel and look forward returning.

Fantastic! Check in…read morewent smoothly. Explained everything very well. Staff was friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. The hotel itself and room was extremely clean. The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. I was a tad nervous sharing a bathroom/shower with others, but didn't notice a difference really. Never had to wait for either. I did get breakfast one morning and it's a buffet style of typical European foods. Eggs, breads, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, muesli, cereal, and yogurt. Delicious. With tea, coffee, juice, and water. I wish I would have gotten it the whole stay. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Especially for the price and location. Close to train station and many restaurants and sites.

My stay at easyHotel Zurich was an absolute nightmare, and I strongly advise against booking a room…read morehere. 1 .Blocked Sink on Arrival: The bathroom sink was clogged the moment I checked in. The water wouldn't drain at all, creating a disgusting and unsanitary condition. Their team later tried to blame me for "improper use" even though I had just arrived and hadn't even used the sink yet. 2. Scalding Water - Unsafe: The water in the sink and shower was boiling hot no matter which direction the tap was turned -- this is a serious safety hazard. Touching the water even briefly risked burns, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. 3. No On-Site Staff: This so-called "self-service" hotel means that there is no staff at the property -- not even during the day. If something goes wrong, you're on your own unless you can make an international phone call or physically drag your luggage back down to the lobby to "start over" via a kiosk. 4. Unhelpful and Dismissive Support: Their customer service was robotic and dismissive. Despite multiple emails clearly explaining my situation -- late check-in, blocked sink on arrival, inability to use my phone plan for calls -- I was offered no meaningful help. They simply repeated that the issue was "not reported in time" and refused a refund or repair. Their proposed solution? I should carry all my luggage back downstairs and call a Swiss phone number. I physically couldn't do that, and they didn't care. 5. No Accountability, No Compensation: Instead of owning up to poor conditions, they deflected blame and gaslit me. Their refusal to acknowledge their responsibility for basic maintenance is shocking. I've attached photos and videos showing the blocked drain and scalding water. I'm also sharing a redacted version of our email correspondence that shows how poorly they handled the situation.

I would rate higher if Easy Hotel was promoted as a room for the night as opposed to a hotel. It is NOT a hotel in the conventional sense. There are no employees on the property, which really concerned me because I had to call someone twice. No elevator. I was put on the highest floor. Couldn't work the TV, among other things. The towels weren't replaced the next day, so there were only dirty ones and no washcloths. The bathroom is designed in a way that the floor slopes and curves. There is a step to the rest of the room which is easily tripped on. This is NOT for someone with mobility issues! It's a noisy neighborhood- so much noise outside that I could barely sleep. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was more comfortable in the train station and definitely the airport.

Front desk personnel is iffy, depending who you get. Command of the English language with the staff is good. Where the hotel is not so good, is that they don't pay close attention to details in the room, ti make sure they are in working order. When we got to the hotel room, it appeared that everything was in working order, but then it changed. The light switch next to one of the beds stopped working as well as the large light for the room. And the thermostat for the room itself wasn't working either as well as the lotion pump. The drain for the main sink wasn't functioning well, but if I closed the drain and opened it, the sink seemed to function, until I had to use it the next time around. In other words, superficially the room is nice, but not a lot of detail put into checking the details. Also, when I was in the lobby I had asked the front desk for a blanket, and an hour later it had not arrived, but in calling guest services, then I got it! A frustrating stat.

The robes, slippers, and in-room coffee were all great, and we were surprised with champagne and chocolates for our anniversary, which was a memorable gesture. The blackout blinds that closed by remote were a small but luxurious detail, and the front desk staff were welcoming throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the restaurant, SILK, located in the lobby. It's a cozy, romantic spot with soft lighting and excellent service. Our first dinner there was delicious ~ we had octopus, fish, and glasses of Chardonnay that paired perfectly. We returned on Sunday for a light meal of cheese, wine, and salad. The location is quiet and peaceful, away from the busy Old Town but very convenient to the beautiful walkway along the Lake. The rooftop terrace was a highlight with stunning sunset views. We would definitely stay here again!
