These folks had some amazing suggestions to make through and through and helped us a lot with our questions about Switzerland and travels in general. The interiors were pretty amazing and well thought out and depicted the history of Lumiere. We ordered a side salad, octopus with sliced potatoes, tuna tartare on avocado bed and for dessert we got ourselves the lime tart. The octopus dish was outstanding just like the tuna tartare where we enjoyed every bite slowly. The salad was put together very well and the dessert topped it all off to call it an evening. This place definitely should definitely be in your list to visit in Zurich and given its proximity to Zurich HB it's an easy decision to make ( even if you had to come out of your way to grab a bite here it will be so well worth it).

The only thing you have to do is to grill them on a charcoal pot they provide for the table. I am a big fan of fruits in mustard they serve on side with the meet. For me an my wife top 1 in Zürich. Almost forgot, aubergine they serve as a starter, I think it's quite Italian (restaurant is French), it's a poem. It always makes my appetite for the main course.

Normally I don't like really sour things, but the appetizer was very tasty. One of my friends doesn't eat meat, so she ordered the fish, and that was also all-you-can-eat. Our table of 6 shared two bottles of red wine (Atalayas, Ribera del duero) and sparkling water, and the bill came out to about 85 per person (not including tip). Dress appropriately, because the heat from the grill will make you HOT. I'm glad I wore a tank top to dinner. All-in-all, good fun and good eats. The thin beef steaks are quite lean and don't have much taste on their own, so you need to eat them with all the condiments. I came here last Thursday for dinner with some coworkers before heading down the street to Almodobar for some drinks. There was no one else in the restaurant yet when we arrived at 6:30 pm, so we got our pick of a table by the window. Dinner came with a bread basket and small cup of what looked like pea soup with a breadstick. It was a bit strange to be drinking warm soup out of a little glass cup, but the soup was still a tasty start. I chose one of their specialities--a flank steak with a red onion sauce and Pommes Allumettes for CHF 35,00. The steak was juicy and delicious, and I was a bit surprised that the thinner cut was not tough nor dry at all. Perfectly cooked and much better than some flank steaks I've had elsewhere in the past. I also learned that Pommes Allumettes are very thin, tiny French fries. I think I actually prefer the thicker "regular" ones, as I actually like tasting more potato and found the teeny ones to be quite salty and oily. All washed down with a lovely bottle of Barbera d'Asti wine and some refreshing tap water, it was a good meal and a pleasant place to linger for a nice chat with friends. I didn't get dessert this time, but I've had the homemade tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream on a previous visit, and it was delicious.
