The changes to the regulations of wills, representation agreements, and bequests mean that you should seek out a specialist to help you navigate this complex legal field. They even included the registration of the wills ( strongly recommended by our son, the labour lawyer...who told us to use a specialist firm). Meetings were done online, with reviews via pdf. A lawyer that works for them named Joseph Jachimowicz was pretending to work on my file and would constantly make things up in order to get me off his back and question what he is doing. After he was fired (no longer practicing, ie unethical conduct) Deer Lake Law sent me an email asking me if I would like to continue to use the services of their firm and give them additional money on top of all of the funds that I had given for services they never provided. Also, I was now told of additional costs that would be incurred for them to work on my file that were hidden from me before. Highly unethical, go somewhere else!
