She really took her time and walked us through everything we were seeing and we even got to hear the heartbeat again which we were able to record and put inside of a stuffed animal for keepsake. My fears were put at ease as soon as I met Dr. Pellerito. He has a calming personality and is very patient and easy to talk to. I'm going through treatment now and I've already had success. It took a while to decide what I wanted to do and he understood my concerns and let me steer my own ship as far as what choices I had. His office staff is pleasant to interact with and the waiting room is large. Yes there are many doctors at this practice but there is still plenty of seating. The team here are experts in the field of osteopathy, orthopedic, and sports medicine. My connection with this well known practice, is four(4) different doctors since 2015. My parents (RIP) were also patients of Dr. Andrew Ajluni for my Mother's fractured hips after falling, then my Father for his broken wrist with Dr. Michael Demers in the past 10 years at the St. Clair Shores office. Therefore = (1st & 2nd Doctors ) I became a patient of Dr. James Bookout (#3) for my left knee in early December 2018. After x-rays and a scan, it was concluded I have lack of cartilage in both my knees, left worse. The easy term is called "bone on bone" which causes swelling at the end of my busy days. In order to prolong surgery, he suggested a orthopedic knee brace for 2 months which helped greatly to re-enforce my left knee for up to 10 hours.( brace bought at Dick's sporting store with discount from Dr.) I may use the sleeve brace when kneeling for long periods of time, but not on a daily basis since the 4 gel shots have helped after 2 weeks of final appointment and injection. After 6 months he suggested an office treatment with 4 weekly 5cc gel shots back in July 2019. I will warn: It's a painful shot and needle "Sharp hit the bone" injection. I was light headed afterwards due to the excitement? NOT... my anxiety. Then 1 day of a soft ice pack 3x a day for my re-balancing. After 3 days, I was happy with my walking and enjoy my daily exercise workouts without pain or stiffness plus easy kneeling mobility. Dr. Bookout was very polite, patient with my questions and he explains in details about the knee with alternative treatments. I hope I will NOT need any future surgery but if so, he will be my choice to repair my bone loss. I am also a patient with Dr. Matthew Brewster (#4) a foot surgeon for a right bone spur which was diagnosed in November 2019. (Thanks Mom same foot she had back in 1997). Dr. Brewster has not rushed surgery and has recommended other alternative medical treatments to use. I was put on a 10 day steroid medication to help the pain and I'm using "Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel 2x a day for inflammation which has helped like liquid Advil to subsidize my pain. My last appointment was on Tuesday, March 3rd to "give in" for a 3cc shot (small needle) of cortisone into the joint area of my right big toe. It helped to get me back walking without pain and to prolong my needed foot surgery till summer time. I hope the shot will last long, but I will follow up with Dr. Brewster in late May to decide. He is so kind and helpful to ease my mind. My walking has been pain-free both inside and outside the house. I also bought a pair of special charcoal orthotic inserts from Hanson's shoes to help with my 5000/ 6000 steps daily. I highly recommend these dedicated quality surgeons in this orthopedic medical practice. The office atmosphere and staff is welcoming and the exam rooms are hygienic and private. The doctors are attentive and professional to all patients. FYI: The business card which is attached and my photos will show many other professional doctors who also practice here as well. Example: Shoulder, Hand, Knee, Foot, Hips... The receptionists at check-in are very pleasant. The assistant to the medical doctors in exam rooms are caring and attentive like the doctors. At check-out the employees are polite to conclude my appointment promptly. The practice has a great team of passionate and professionals along with staff. They are equipped with the technical medical equipment so no need to go elsewhere for radiology. They offer 2 offices in Shelby Township and St. Clair Shores. I was also pleased to get a Yelp tip from an Elite friend, who is also a patient here. Therefore As I always say and I am true in my personal opinion: "Yelpers are Helpers!" My nurse Nelson was an exceptional delight! Usually it takes nurses a few tries to find a good vein for a blood draw/IV but he did it on the first try. Surgery itself was only about 30 minutes. My boyfriend was well informed during the entire process. There was a snack area and TV in the waiting area.

This Henry Ford Medical Center offers many health services, procedures and testing based on providers and appointments available. The environment was comforting and welcoming when I saw the receptionist to check in. After waiting 5 minutes in lobby I was then escorted to Imaging Department and known as Ex-Ray. I've attached Photos of the Imaging areas and how my appointment went about which was at 4pm. The technician Jeff was kind and explained the steps and time frame for the many ex-rays that my doctor requested. He was knowledgeable too when it came to positioning my hands and fingers correctly on the glass for the proper Ex-rays. No paper referral was needed since she sent the forms by email to this department at my convenience too. This facility is clean and offers masks after entering the automatic doors for germ protection of for those who have not been vaccinated for COVID. Request an appointment with any of the providers listed on the sign upon entering. A Patient can reserve a spot in line as well for Walk-In Lab Services.
