Not only was Brian great in helping me get the best deals his follow up work was above what I had expected. It definitely pays to work with advisor versus the direct insurance company as you know that they are there to help you and not their company. This is definitely the way to go for me moving forward and will combine my home insurance once I settle down in a home of my choice. Bait and Switch - We are not the first to get scammed by Taite Insuance. Our 22 year old son…read more(Keller High School, now at Texas Tech) was contacted by Bill and was told he could save him a ton of money on his car insurance. Our son (a part time cook at Sonic) who is always trying to save money took the bait. Bill came back with a price that was going to save him over $70 bucks a month - a big deal for him. Our son paid Bill the first month premium, got his proof of insurance card from Bill, then went on to cancel his previous insurance coverage. The following day Bill sends him an email saying that the price he gave our son was wrong and that in fact he is now going to need to pay even more than what he was paying previously. After quoting a price 3 times, cashing his check, issuing an insurance card, Bill had nerve to came back with a NEW price that was $20.00 more than what he was paying with his previous insurance company. Needless to say this was a total bait and switch!!! Our son had to go back to his old insurance company (who he had canceled) and they in turn used the opportunity to raise his rates as he was coming back with his tail between his legs. Then on top of it it took 2 1/2 weeks for Bill to return the money to our son. I have noticed from other reviews on Google this is not the first time Bill Taite Insurance has done this to people of our community. Stay away is my advice. BTW - can't wait to see what kind of BS response I get from this post from Bill.

So quite naturally when I became of age to get my driver's license and start driving, my parents of course added me to their existing policy. Once on my own, I of course stayed with SF until I could do my own research.... Recently I reviewed all my policies with my agent and before I met with him I made phone calls to get quotes from other companies...and that's when I realized you can't go wrong with Bill Tait at State Farm!!! Prices were outrageous with other companies (I.e. Allstate, Farmers, Geico, Progressive...etc. - - believe me, I checked them all) I want everyone to know it is not so much the company you go with, as it is the agent. I have always been very fortunate to have had an awesome State Farm Agent like Bill. Bill Tait in Southlake is what I would refer to as the real and true backbone of your insurance company. As with all first impressions, it is more than not, that impression we take with us and share with others. I've have been a State Farm customer for 25+ years and would never consider switching providers. After my previous review was posted and I sent the review along with a request via email to have my…read morecase escalated, I got responses from Goosehead by email (about a 3-day turnaround) and on Yelp (several days after I received the email response). Arnolfo Rico (a service manager) was assigned to my case and helped, beautifully I might add, to resolve my long-standing issues. I was issued a $50 refund and everything I needed to have done back at the end of April was resolved in full (at this point in time) as of June 28, almost a two month turnaround. In summary: Had the account initially been set up in my name, rather than my wife's name, I suspect that I would have had 0 issues with getting all this set up. Also, in regard to definitions of responsibilities of the different positions Goosehead employs to handle client policies, I think it would be very beneficial, especially for new clients to know where they need to take their needs. I can not determine at this point whether this was my shortfall or if the company doesn't make this information as available as it needs to be when in situations such as mine. In my experience, agents (Luke) are responsible for finding competitive insurance rates when setting up a new account or when the term of the current premium is about to expire so that clients pay the lowest rates possible. Service staff (like Arnolfo) handle any changes or adjustments that need to be made to policies once they've been set up).
