I signed a contract with them to have an 8 yard dumpster delivered to my property. On the day that the delivery was supposed to happen, they called me to tell me that they can't deliver an 8 yard dumpster because we have trees in the way and too much mud and they think their truck will get stuck. Neither of these items is true. There are some tree branches about 20 feet off the ground, and I even offered to prune them if they were in the way of their truck which I highly doubt they would be. Our parking lot is completely covered in crushed concrete , and there's no possible way a truck could get stuck Then he tells me that they could bring me a 30 yard dumpster? I don't want a 30 yard dumpster. I want an 8 yard dumpster. Long story short, after four days of back-and-forth, they tell me they cannot give me the dumpster. Republic Services is a trash company. I mean that in every way possible. We had a business account with them. We had numerous problems including garbage customer service, prices changes to which we didn't consent (we had a contracted rate), and (silly me) listening to guidance given by their agents. Think you have a contracted price with them? Throw that agreement in the trash. The only thing that they honor on their agreements is the fine print where they can try to screw you. They increased our rate by $13/mo six months after we signed our agreement. Then ten months later, they increased by an additional $14/mo. As such, in less than 18 months of signing an agreement, our rate had increased by nearly $30/mo. You don't get any notification - the increase shows up on your invoice and if you protest it, they threaten to send your bill to collections. Their customer service is such garbage that I was trying to contact them in so many different ways that I had to resort to messaging them on facebook. It's just that bad. Our sales rep had been very communicative when trying to get our agreement signed, but as soon as I had an issue, he vanished (after multiple messages, I finally got a cursory "I'm passing this along" response in all caps). The issue that I had been trying to remedy at that time? We couldn't get a correct invoice and they were double charging us. Billing incompetence: yeah, they charged us for two accounts for several months. I couldn't pay a bill because they had screwed them up and just wanted a corrected invoice. They also overcharged us to move a bin across the street (instead of a move fee, they charged us a removal fee, delivery fee, plus other misc fees). We could have pushed the damn thing across the street. Have you managed to get through to customer service? Well, don't listen to them. They aren't trained and if you happen to listen to the advice given and it isn't exactly what matches that fine print from your agreement, Republic Services will seize the opportunity once again to screw you. I wanted to close our account because our business had closed. As such, I called Republic Services to get advice on what was needed to do to close the account. The agent told me that as soon as they received a letter that the account would be closed. I sent it via certified mail, they received it, and I thought that was all that was needed. Nope! Instead, they continued to charge me for an additional two months of service. I asked why and reminded them that the account had been closed. They didn't care what the agent had said and said that the termination is 60 days after the letter is received. Why have customer service agents give advice if they won't honor it? If they can't train their agents, then they need to be responsible for what their agents say. read more

Republic services at 13630 fondren rd 77085 was absolutely a nightmare to deal with. Over our 2 year contract they almost doubled the rate!! They make it almost impossible to cancel their services. They bombarded me with fuel surcharges, removal fees etc etc. They still owe me money and refuse to pay me the half month since they picked up the container on the 15th of the month. Just a horrible experience. We learned the hard way. I recommend going with a smaller more reputable company. read more

Terrible service and nobody knows what's going on there. We order a dumpster days ago to clean up my mothers house only to find out they don't have the order. It has been paid for and signed and they can't give you a delivery time when you need it most. read more
