Same situation, bill went up, over twice the amount, no notice given. Called, they made zero attempt to keep my business. Yes same as others, "rate went up in my area". I really only wanted the recycling pick up, then address those that were doing it incorrectly. (That's in reference to someone else's post) This is a shame for their company because I did not have complaints about service. They would call if here was a delay with pick up. I was okay with the delay because they communicated it to me. What has just happened with bill though is unacceptable. And Rep Serv please don't leave a generic response like the others wanting our business in the future. Not a chance. Part 2- I just spoke to customer service, this person was way more helpful and was able to credit a few things on my final bill. She commented that they have lost a lot of business in the area because of the rate increase and this has hurt the company. I responded that with better communication about increase or giving customers options maybe the outcome would have been different. She agreed on both those points. I'm just happy this lady was way nicer than the last. And I told them I will pay my bill but not all at once, I'll need payments, she said ok read more

Do not use this company's service. Their billing is a nightmare and they change rates without warning in the middle of the billing cycle. I've been dealing with them for over 3 months to resolves a billing issue on their end. Despite being told 3 times that they are going to adjust my bill to $0, it hasn't been done and now they are sending it to collections. This company is running a scam. read more

Best trash we have ever had, this coming from a military family that has moved around a lot. Thank you and God Bless!!

8/30/18 Just like everyone else I received a 50% increase with no notice. I called to ask about it and was told they were not allowed to negotiate the price. I canceled my service. The. They told me that there would be a $30 fee to pick up my cans. I asked if that was in the original agreement and if it was i would like a copy to review. I called back immediately and reversed my cancelation to give me a few weeks to arrange for another service. I was told that was fine. 9/4/18 My cans are gone. They came onto my property and took the cans. Now lets see if they try to charge me. 9/5/18 @ 8:50am I called to find out what was going on with my service. At this point I am keeping records of everything discussed. I explained to the customer service rep that I had called back immediately after canceling to reinstate my service. She said she saw that, but that the request was never sent over to the business center. So the request was never finalized. Okay. I took the case number for future reference. This is not the first time that this company has told me they would do something and then failed to deliver or acknowledge a mistake. Further more I just paid the invoice on 8/1/18. SO I am paid up through 10/31/18. So Now I am calling them back so that I dont get stiffed $100+ I already paid for the service. 9/5/18 @ 9:30am I either pay the extra money or lose the money I already paid. For that they will waive the pick up AND drop off fee. How magnanimous of them. Come Oct 31 2018 I dont think I will be a customer. The Chesapeake Waste is 1/2 of the cost for the same service. read more

I'm canceling our service for the same issue as the previous reviewers. I had to call them to figure out why our bill was increasing. I was told by RS that since we do not live in a neighborhood that our rates have been increased without notice. read more

Has been using Republic Services for years. NOT ANYMORE!! Received my Quarterly bill in the mail yesterday . It is 3X larger then my past bill . Not even a notice from them about the increase! COWARDS!! Afraid customers would cancel their service, they already did!! I know many people who uses Republic Services are up in arms. What justifies a$59 going up to $195 without any notice plus which is unreal! They claim some people aren't using recycle (NOT MY PROBLEM)correctly. So they without notice to their customers raised the increase up 3X their last bill across the board to everyone! Well guess what ? I already cancelled their services ! Blue Hen trash/recycle co. is charging only $72 quarterly for the same service, plus a Senior discount,my NEW TRASH/RECYCLE CO. DON'T BE TAKEN OVER BY REPUBLIC SERVICES !! Change to Blue Hen Services!DON'T BE BULLIED! read more

I totally agree with David L. and everyone else. They kept raising their prices. Talked to someone and she gave me a good price, so I stayed. Come to find out, they said she was authorized to do that and raised the price again. Tried everything to negotiate this out and to no avail. On top of all that, they charge $30 per container to pick up, plus a Fuel/Environmental fee. All total, for all their fees, etc. $90+. Whatever you do, do not use this company at all. They are horrible. I know that companies aren't perfect, but this one takes the cake and your money. If I could, I give them 0 stars, because they don't even deserve 1. read more

We signed up for waste disposal and recycling with Republic in late June 2018. After many no shows and promises from them to correct the problem, someone from the local office came by in his personal vehicle and picked up trash. Once. Every time we call we get apologies but no action. Again, they "promised" to be here yesterday. Nothing. They must have caller ID on their office phones because now, they don't answer. read more

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with. They have been overcharging us for months. I reluctantly even giving them 1 star.
