Ticket booth lines (Aug 2022)

The Reptile Super Show claims to be the best reptile expo in the US and I believe the show happens every twice a year at Pomona Fairplex (one in January 2022 and one in August 2022). [Parking]: $15 per vehicle via Gate 17 entrance. They have trams to take you directly from the parking lot to expo halls (approximately 5 minutes). [Tickets]: $16 per adult and $10 for kids (age 12 and under) and you can buy tickets in person. I had to wait in line, but the waiting line moved relatively quickly. You can also order tickets ahead of time on Eventbrite, but there's processing fee. [Venues]: The expo hall was fairly big and there are probably at least 100+ vendors here. You can spend at least 2+ hours here just navigating through foot traffic and checking out all vendors. You will find snakes (ball python, king snake, boa constrictor), lizards (geckos, chameleons), turtles, tortoises, tarantulas, frogs, etc. Many vendors actually let visitors hold lizards or even let snakes wrap around their necks. Reptile Super Show is more exciting than visiting zoo because you can actually physically touch these reptiles (with vendor's permission). Ticket was definitely not cheap, but I think it was well worth the price. P.S. - You can bring your own bottles of water and there are some country fair food stands just outside of the expo hall.

The Reptile Super Show IS a super show! Tons of reptiles, some amphibians, tarantulas, products for pets, all kinds of reptile product vendors, plenty of show specials, and BEER! I don't care for beer but I know some do. I was determined to get to the Fairplex in Pomona super early. Arrived at about 9:40, the event itself began at 10 a.m. The Reptile Super Show took place in one of the main halls at the Fairplex. I thought being so early that we would be one of the first in line. HA! Others had my same idea! The line wrapped around the building. As we waited in line we got copies of a reptile magazine and a goody bag with samples for reptiles (water conditioner, tank cleaner, food). The line moved at a decent pace so I wasn't too bothered by it. Print out the $1 off coupon off of the website for a discount. Entrance fee for adults was $14 and $9 for kids. Ages 6 and under were free. Upon paying for our ticket, we scored a few more freebies. Took the first aisle and oohed and aahed over all the exotic breeds of geckos and chameleons and snakes for about two hours. The animals were not out and and about scurrying around, they're all in their nice and neat containers, some pets were being carried responsibly by the vendors. The majority of the animals looked great and well taken care of. The sale prices were listed on almost everything I saw. All the vendors tables were well attended. The vendors themselves were extremely hospitable and answered everyone's questions. I only encountered one vendor who was a bit pushy but he became distracted as soon as another customer looked interested. I really liked how much information each vendor had about their animal and/or product. I learned a lot! I took my 11 year old son and his best friend. They both had a blast. Several vendors let the kids touch the animals. Some didn't and I let the kids know this is NOT a petting zoo, we were there to observe and learn. The vendors were very kind to the kids and helpful when they asked a zillion questions. A lot of people walked out with purchased pets. I saw a lot of people walking around with bearded dragons on their shoulders or chests. I can't wait until my beardie will do the same! Great experience, will definitely be attending the next show.

Had a rough time in the beginning but the owner of the reptile show showed my Son love for his birthday . We have never been to this show , we are new to the world of reptiles , but Ramis generosity will not got to waste . Extremely educational for our kids to be able to see and touch real live reptiles . So many snakes , all sizes and kinds . Geckos seem to be very popular , chameleons & much more! Awesome !!! All of the informational booths are there as well . We will def be following them around ! And hopefully make a purchase one visit , Thanks a bunch !!!!!!!

This is a cool place to come to if you're into reptiles and stuff. We came back here hoping to look for more razorback turtles that we found a few years back but they didn't have any this year. But we did get to see a 30 year old giant tortoise, which was pretty cool too. Along with the other little critters such as: snakes, lizards, spiders, etc., the craziest item I saw was a $30,000 albino toad/frog! Wow! On the less creepy side they also had a lot of chameleons with beautiful colors on them. But it's always cool to see what kind of reptiles they have each year but I'd still probably just stick with the turtles. This place also sell a variety of cages, tanks, branches, food, pretty much whatever your little friend needs they have here. A good place to take the kids too if they're not too scared.

Ask the Community - Reptile Super Show

Does it sell baby russian tortoises?

Yes, I have seen baby Russian tortoises here, but vendors are not always the same each show so I would check the vendors list before attending.

I had a lot of fun at this experience and would definitely go again next year when they change it…read moreup. One of the highlights was the small circus-style show featuring bikes and motorcycles, which was entertaining and added a unique touch. The acrobat portion was fairly short and ended up being my least favorite part of the event. The lighting and visual effects were absolutely amazing. There seemed to be a blend of Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz themes throughout the experience. While the visuals were beautiful, I think it would have been even better if they had fully committed to one theme rather than mixing elements together. My favorite part was exploring the many small rooms scattered throughout the venue. Each room was decorated differently, and it was a lot of fun discovering all the creative details and designs. I do hope that future versions stay more consistent with the chosen theme instead of sprinkling in random figurines that don't quite fit. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I'd happily return next year to see what they create next.

They offer some great deals for local residents as well as on weeknights. We stopped by here the other night after my birthday dinner. It was a little chilly and windy, but there were so many cool things to see and do here. Talk about a plethora of options for photo ops and selfies! The Wizard of Oz theme is cool. There's a couple rooms that don't seem to follow the theme, which helps mix it up a bit. There's also a "circus" which looks like a lot of BMX and dirt bikes. We heard it and saw some of the performance, but it's a very small area of the attraction, so we were more interested in everything else. We ended up staying here almost two hours and they were getting ready to close. This is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun and different to do in the area.

There's a lot more to do than I expected. They had classic car shows, guinea pig racing, art exhibits, tons of games, rides, food, and plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained. The fairgrounds are huge, and of course, expect a big crowd. Parking can be a little hectic, but they have trolleys that take you to the entrance and back to the parking area, which definitely helps. The food is definitely pricey, and some things are hit or miss. But honestly, that's part of the fair experience. You try different foods, sometimes you find something really good, and sometimes you wonder why you just paid that much for it. Overall, we had a great time as a family. There's something for everyone, and it's a fun way to spend the day with your loved ones. Definitely glad we finally checked it out!

As soon as I entered the fair, a photographer asked if I wanted a picture taken. I checked for pricing and the lowest package they had was $40. Needless to say I did not take the photo . I did run into some cute jewelry vendors, and a soap making vendor that is local, and supported their business. I also saw some interesting art and the artist was onsite to talk about it. Parking at the fair is always something. They do have a complimentary tram that will take you closer to your car. For a discount on tickets, I decided to go with Mattress Firm. The process to reserve discounted tickets was easy. Til next year.

There's something for everyone: a giant pumpkin patch, gorgeous sunflower fields, a fun petting farm, and tons of great food and activities. The sunflower fields were one of my favorite part -- absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. The petting farm was such a cute touch too (the sheep definitely stole the show). You can tell the students really put their heart into making the whole event feel welcoming and organized. We also stopped by the Farm Store on our way out and stocked up on fresh produce, wine (they grow their own grapes!), and some amazing pumpkin bread.

Got there when the event first open, crowd was too massive and was able to take some really great pictures in the Pumpkin area. The petting zoo was really fun- Goats and herds of sheep were walking around the petting area awaiting to be fed (really liked the cleaning station near the exit for easy hand washing), animals were really mellow- which created a fun environment for kids. Agreed with some reviews; the entrance fee is a bit pricey, though I did enjoy this festival

We ordered a couple drinks, loved that some places had samples so we can try before we buy! My bf got a smashburger & I got the loaded carne asada fries my friend tried the asada elote! Later on we got some Cathy cookies ugh which are some of our faves! So had to get a bucket haha then some curly fries which were ginormous haha but better be if we're paying OC/LA pricing ...so to be expected. So fun & cute to see all the dogs dressed up in their lemon fits (: Downside was parking was ridiculous. It was packed so very crowded so lines were a bit long here n there. I enjoyed the freshly squeezed lemonade and the grapefruit jelly I purchased. I enjoyed the company of my friend who checked out the festival with me. My friend commented that we normally don't hang out in downtown Upland, and there are some inviting looking restaurants, cafes, and shops to check out sometime. Cons: expensive parking ($20-30), WHERE ARE THE LEMONS???, too loud and crowded, pretty much a mini LA County Fair without any of the cool exhibits. The main issue is the misnomer: you hear lemon festival and you kind of expect lots of cuisine that is lemon-focused. Like at a garlic or lobster festival. Maybe it used to be, but not anymore. So as a first timer, rather disappointing. 2.5

For parking, it was an easy process going from the gate and getting funneled to available spots. They take American Express at the gate. Be prepared to remember where your car is parked because it could feel like a maze later. For food, there were a lot of options all around the venue. There were so many options but my girlfriend and I could only try a handful. There was a good variety of items and we specifically got to try the following: matcha latte, pork belly tacos, tiramisu parfait, pizza taiyaki, and ube banana pudding. We saw online that there was a program. But honestly this wasn't something we focused on. Most of our time was spent browsing the different halls that consisted of different vendors, food vendors, kpop, artwork, anime, etc. The only drawback was we were not able to get a full preview of what vendors were attending. However, we were able to get by with some of the ones highlighted on their instagram and discovered by walking around. We spent about 3.5 hours here. A lot of vendors accepted American Express. Think, buying products at wholesale prices, without having to buy them in bulk. There were a lot of the usual sponsors, like Toyota that had a wonderful set up; selling merch, giving swag, and having a few display vehicles to wow the patrons. There were also a lot of cultural dances to watch if you wanted to just relax in one place, sit down and watch some drummers drumming or dancers dancing. They were all so beautiful with their make up and outfits! Another note, both years I attended, there was also a simultaneous expo next door called anime impulse. You could walk around on that side too which showcased some neat cars, artisans selling crafts and merchandise, and a whole room full of kpop(Kfest), as well as cosplayers walking around. There was definitely a lot going on and it's definitely worth the 30$ entry ticket and 20$ parking. There were also shuttles (like the ones at Disneyland) taking people to and from their vehicles from the giant parking lot to the venue which was very nice and convenient. A lot of people bring suitcases or wagons to shop without having to keep going to and from their vehicles in the parking lot too often, dropping off goods (it gets heavy and hard to walk around!)
