After thinking through various options, such as long term stay hotels, and renting an apartment and putting an air mattress in it, my husband suggested that I look into corporate apartments. (I.e. an apartment that is fully furnished with all utilities included.) For the record corporate apartments are few and far between in this area. One company I spoke with wanted 4000 a month which is still less than staying in a hotel, but no less expensive than staying in the Marriott Residence Inn, which has a kitchenette in it. I found Big Sky by googling corporate apartments. I immediately called the office to inquire. They had a 3 bedroom apartment available, but I only needed a 2 bedroom setup. They were willing to use the 3 bedroom and set it up for two. Yea! Staff are very friendly, both Lisa and Wanda in the office are very gracious and will answer lots of questions. And the price is exceptional! About 2400 for a three month lease, fully furnished, including linens, washer and dryer, kitchen needs, all utilities, cable, internet, and phone included! This has saved my company about $10,000 across the course of 3 months by staying in this apartment vs being in a hotel and having to reimburse for eating out expenses. As far as the apartments themselves, I really like them! And if I lived in the area I would definitely live here! the 3 bedroom has a large master bedroom, and two smaller bedrooms. It's about 1400 square feet and very spacious and well laid out. The views of the mountains are amazing. There is a pool available which is open until the end of September. There's also a small gym. Although the acoustics on the side of the mountain are very good and you can hear things far off, I personally have not had any experience with bad neighbors, yelling and screaming, or any disorderly conduct. Parking is at a premium, so be aware they do require parking stickers, and passes if anyone is staying overnight. Apartments do not have a standard lock and key. It is a key fob system, that is very unique. You tap the key on the door which gives you the ability to unlock and lock. It's nice because it's impossible to lock yourself out of the apartment. I can see how some of the apartments here might be at a disadvantage for the view the way they are built, however this 3 bedroom has two porches and two giant scenic windows on the front and faces the most fantastic mountain view. Initially I was trying to find an apartment in Harrisonburg however was very glad this one in Staunton worked out instead. The complex is conveniently located about a mile from the 81/64 split. Charlottesville is about 35 to 40 minutes to the east , Harrisonburg is about 25-30 minutes to the north, and Roanoke Virginia is about an hour and 20 minutes to the southwest. It's a great location to be able to jump on the interstate and go any of these places. Conveniently located right behind shopping, and only a few miles from the downtown area. This is also in the Shenandoah Valley area, so there's lots of beautiful drives, and hiking available! I'm a little sad that I will only be here for 3 months, as I love the mountains! but like I said earlier if I was staying here permanently this would definitely be on the top of my list of places I would consider living!

The plugs in the bed room won't even work and they've told us for over a month they would fix them. Stuff is constantly breaking and they do not care to fix it in a speedy manor. They continue to raise the rent every year and yet refuse to do the bare minimum up keep. I do not recommend anyone ever moving here. In fact I will do my due diligence to let people know the poor quality and disregard these apartments have!!! YOU WILL OVER PAY AND YOU WILL NOT BE CARED FOR. THEY WANT NOTHING BUT YOUR MONEY. Maintenance is good till they need to finish another day and then forget about you. Forget about your security deposit because you will never get it back. Horrible communications with leasing staff who rarely return messages and close the office on random days with no explanation. They will send out emails notifying you of inspections or pest control sweeps and either postpone or never show. Do yourself a favor and move to a different community. This place is the very definition of what was once a decent place to live but has since fallen off a cliff into the dumpster.

The outside wall under our kitchen sick was a piece of cardboard taped up. TK and Adam were the best part of the company, sadly TK left after our first year, his replacement is kinda a joke. Mark, the head of the company was hit and miss. 7 days after bringing our newborn home, we lost power for 48 hours (middle of November in the ice storm). When I called to see if there was anything he could do, he laughed our situation off. Also, we had to asked several times for our names to be corrected within their business system. It FINALLY GOT FIXED in the last few months. When we would make a maintenance request, we were asked to fix it ourselves or just ignored for weeks on end. I would say, if you can afford a bit higher rent, don't work with MANS. The repairmen are great but they aren't who you will deal with.

The Windigrove apartments provide the perfect…read moreblend of overpriced rent, absurd extra charges, constant inspections, terrible parking, noise from neighbors, and unhelpful responses to concerns and frustrations. My main grievance with Windigrove has to do with the outrageous security deposit deductions. If you read through the reviews this is a frequent issue, as they do in fact nickel and dime you for ridiculous reasons. They charged us over $550 for unit cleaning and carpet cleaning, which we were told were standard procedure, and something you would not expect to be charged for. Even if you clean the apartment exceptionally thoroughly they will charge an outrageous amount. We spent days cleaning our apartment, and I even spackled and sanded all the nail holes, even though they said we wouldn't be charged for the holes, just to make the cleaning and change of tenant process easier for them. They also price gauge for little things such as the drip pans for the stove top. If you do foolishly decide to move to Windigrove prepare to get very little of your security deposit back. Another issue with the apartments are the ridiculously thin ceilings and walls. You can hear everything from your above and side neighbors which can be very frustrating at times. If you do have a noise complaint to file, prepare yourself for nothing to happen. I feel horrible for the people that have to live in the phase 3 as the parking situation there is absolutely horrible, but to be fair, the parking situation for the entire complex is bad. Overall, Windigrove apartments provide poor management and customer service, ridiculous extra charges when you move out, and mediocre facilities. If you are searching for an expensive and poor living experience, Windigrove is the place for you. I would not recommend Windigrove apartments to anyone under any circumstance. Please avoid this development at all costs.

Windigrove has been amazing! My 2-bedroom apartment is spacious and was the very clean upon move in. Not a spec of dirt anywhere, new blinds, new paint. Full size washer and dryer, and pet friendly. The office staff is very friendly. I have a first floor unit and so far it's quiet, except for when people might run up and down the stairs there is a little rumble but not a big deal. The grounds are kept clean. Th clubhouse is beautiful, with a nice, clean gym with excellent equipment and the pool is nice, too. (No hot tub). So far, so good. I like it here! There is a good amount of storage as well. The downside is the parking... after 6pm visitors must park on the curb of the street by the entrance, but this allows for plenty of parking for tenants. I have not had the problems that others have experienced based on reviews here and on other sites.
