**1 Star** I have been a loyal customer of Fargo Rentall for years. That loyalty ended the moment Shahin, the branch manager, completely lost control in front of me and his own employee. Paul was outside driving the machine we had just returned when Shahin ran out screaming at him. He then hustled inside and turned the same unhinged rage on me...screeching, calling me a liar, and behaving like a man who had completely snapped. His eyes looked dead. The entire episode was wild, aggressive, and far beyond anything that should ever happen in a professional setting. It happened without sense, no discussion ... zero to 100... Paul came inside eventualy, had to step in and tell him to go away.(those were the words used) The entire "issue" was a fuel discrepancy of less than $20. The day before, the employee who loaded the machine told me the gauge had dropped and specifically said to ask for him when I returned it. I did exactly that. That was the full extent of the situation that somehow justified Shahin's public meltdown. I tried to handle this privately. I contacted Rick at the 32nd Street location and messaged Matt Gilbertson on Facebook. Rick's response was essentially "do what you have to do." Matt never replied. I also asked them to review the video of the incident. No one has taken ownership of Shahin's behavior. I will not return to Fargo Rentall. I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. Braxton at United, kelly atSunbelt, and anyone at Swanston offer newer equipment, better rates, and -- critically -- staff who know how to conduct themselves like professionals. Years of good will built by Mark and Rick were erased in minutes by one manager's outrageous lack of self-control. No company should allow someone who behaves this way to represent them. read more

They saved me from having to buy things that I only needed to use once. Their prices are fair. Wish they stayed open just a little later in the day, but not a big deal. read more

Picked up a skid steer and a trailer at 5 PM on Friday. Was expecting to have it for three days total but it rained hard that night unexpectedly. Brought it back the next morning by 10 AM because it was too wet to work and they still charged me the majority of the rental. Go United rentals or one of the other rental places in town. read more

I recently rented a Penske truck and trailer from Rentall. From walking in to driving the rental away it took nearly an hour. It was a somewhat busy springtime Friday morning (3 people in-line ahead of me), and they have limited staff. So it's kind of understandable. However, the truck was filthy inside the cab. Sticky splashes and greasy fingerprints on the steering wheel, dash and radio, crumbs on the floor, sticky and crusty stuff in the cup holders, dirty windows. And the moving blankets were just tossed in the back, obviously unwashed since their last use, most had packing tape stuck on them and 2-3 smelled like gas and oil and were greasy to the touch. The cargo box area was clean however. Before we even started packing the truck I spent a while cleaning the inside of the truck out, as I didn't want to spend our 9+ hour move driving that nasty truck. Fortunately, Penske corporate is refunding us $50 (which is the same as the cleaning fee if a customer returns a dirty truck). The 3rd party agent locations are responsible for cleaning the trucks, and Fargo Rentall obviously did not bother to do even a basic amount of cleaning. All of my interactions with corporate were very pleasant; from placing the order to confirmation and follow-up calls. The truck drove well and was well maintained. And the prices and discounts were lower than an identical truck and trailer from uHaul by nearly $150. I'd rent from Penske again, but wouldn't bother with Fargo Rentall in the future. read more

I have done business with Rental and Paul for the past 6 years. We've rented party supplies to scaffolding. We've rented a storage unit and Penske moving truck/trailer. Paul and his crew have been nothing short of amazing to do business with. I am a repeat customer and recommend Rental!! read more

In March I placed an order for a pair of brass candelabra for a June 15 wedding, I was in the store and saw one, it was dusty but assumed they would clean it before renting it out. On June 14 I called and confirmed my order, at noon my husband picked up the brass candelabra bringing them to the church for me to add flowers t for the 1:00 pictures. They were filthy dusty along with hardened wax from the previous rental. AND they were not matching, one was with a spiral heart and the other could be moved into a diagonal or straight line. I called Paul at the store asking for him to find me a matching set of clean candelabra, he said they matched since they were brass and had 7 candles. I told him that's like saying an apple and an orange are the same thing since they are round. I said I'm not paying for an order that was not filled correctly, and if he didn't have my order he could have told me that when I called to confirm the previous day and he would charge me unless I brought them back within the hour. With pictures starting in 1/2 hour I had no time to find anything else, and had to find extra flowers to cover up the non-matching parts. I would never do business with such an unprofessional business, who is too lazy to even clean the product before renting it out! I really do not know how they can stay in business with service like this. I'd suggest that if you need to rent something this be the last place you look! I am a very unsatisfied customer. read more
