I rarely use these rental places. But they were very nice and helped me out. Very good service.

I needed a skid steerer and had been trying at Home Depo but theirs were out or broken. So I called Rentalex and spoke with Tiffany. I can not say enough good things about her she was knowledgeable and super helpful. I reserved the skid steerer for Saturday but then saw it was like 90% chance of rain so she was again really nice about cancelling my order. I will go back to Rentalex. A big lie company Yesterday I rent a 50 feet boom lift for 24 hour and delivery by the Rentalex. I hired a screen man to fix my soffit and my neighbors. All ok until today when the guy came to pick the machine he immediately said we broke a line and show me a line with electric black tape wrapped around then he took the line apart and side we broke it because he delivery a line without the tape. I even don't know what the line is and he said it is a brake line and can not be repaired must be in one piece. I said we have 4 people watched the screen man workin and none one see he rip the line and repair it with black tape and he even don't have the black tape at all how can he ripped it and repair with a black tape. I was writing my explain on the paper he want me to sign and call my neighbor as witness to sign the paper. The guy took off without the paper. Me and my neighbor chased him to the store, the manager Tim was closing the store and refused to listen to us and even said that I stole the paper which is rentalex property. Can u believe. Terrible service!!! From Rentalex, Budget Truck Rental in Tarpon Springs, AND from Budget truck Rental corporate office! Went to pick up our reserved truck in the middle of hurricane Hermaine. We had movers at our house waiting for the truck, and after a very rude acknowledgement by the man behind the desk, we were told that our truck was grounded for federal inspection. The man was extremely rude when i inquired as to why we weren't notified ahead of time about this. He then sent us 45 minutes away to Rentalex in a torrential downpour, saying that he had transferred our reservation to another location. Upon arrival at Rentalex, we were then told that they were closing and not renting us a truck. Additionally, we were told "I don't know why he sent you here". With movers at our house, we called budget headquarters to find out what we were supposed to do. The answer we received from them was "we are going to charge you a cancellation fee"...Are you kidding me? Worst service EVER...I will NEVER rent through budget again, nor would i use either of these companies that treat their customers so poorly. Kudos to the woman at Castle Keep who stayed open in the midst of a hurricane to rent us a uhaul. read more

Rented a Stihl-brand brush cutter with a tri-star blade to cut down some thick brush undergrowth from Rentalex on SR52 Hudson, FL. After using it for just one hour on some thick grass, weeds and vines, it began to vibrate heavily and then the motor separated from the shaft. A piece on the inside that connects the engine to the shaft had broken in two. I took it back in and they made me pay for the repair even though they admitted they could not state with any certainty the condition of the part prior to renting it to me. I was forced to also pay for the rental for the entire day. I then went and rented the exact same equipment from another tool rental place nearby, and after fours I completed the work I had started with Rentalex's equipment and with no problems whatsoever. This was proof positive that the brush cutter Rentalex rented me was in bad condition and they stuck me for the cost of the repair. I will NEVER rent from them again nor will ever recommend anyone else do so. read more
