I used Rental world to provide canopies for my daughter's outdoor wedding ( the venue required them in case of rain since we had too many people for inside based on state COVID guidelines). I'll start by saying Gabriela was wonderful when I originally talked to her; understanding, accommodating - she sent her husband to meet me at the venue to get accurate measurements on the two patios to be covered. I paid the full invoice the Wednesday before the wedding with the understanding that they would set up Friday before noon (as requested by the venue -who paid their staff to be there). And then everything changed. My family showed up at the venue at 2pm on Friday to do what we needed to do. The canopies were not up. The venue had been calling Rental World for hours with only vague promises that they would show up... their truck broke down. The two young men who showed up near 4pm were rude to my husband, complained about having to walk around the building, said they wouldn't replace the tables where they found them (staff had just set them all up). We constantly kept trying to get rental world on the phone, Daniel finally showed up. It was constant excuses, truck broke down, hard to get help,etc. these were not our problem, they took the job knowing they had six weddings that weekend. A simple call to myself or the venue explaining the delay would have made a difference, but they didn't. We had to find THEM. They showed up on Sunday to retrieve the canopies and I was told they moved a large planter and didn't put it back where they found it. I left an urgent message on Friday and thought they'd at least follow up on Monday with an explanation, apology....but nothing. Even though their price was reasonable and the canopies were actually very nice, I'm not sure they're worth the headache of dealing with them read more

Rental World was a total disappointment. It poured all day on my daughter's wedding day, and that was less disappointing to me than the service we received from Rental World. We used Rental World for our daughter's outdoor wedding reception because they were able to guarantee a large tent if the weather didn't cooperate, and it did not. We called to make the changes and Daniel assured us that it was no problem - the tent would be there Thursday afternoon. The guarantee, however, did come with a price. We were charged $1650 for a 40 x 80 tent. The same tent can be rented for less from these vendors: Celebration - $900, Party Place - $1025, Perry's - $1310, Great Lakes - $1299, Your Event - $1175 We didn't think we had time to shop around so we were stuck with the bill. Thursday afternoon came and went. We called Daniel at 5:30 and he said one truck was on the way and the 2nd truck was being loaded. THIS WAS A LIE. Daniel called back at 8:30 p.m. and told us they would set up at 7:30 Friday morning. I asked about the truck that was already on the way and he told me he could not control other people. If he would have told us on Wednesday that they wouldn't set up until Friday, I would not be writing this because we would have found another company. The tent did not show up until 9:20 on Friday morning with absolutely no apology. At 2:30 that afternoon, the set up was still going on. We stayed up most of the night hanging lights and setting up tables and chairs, that had been left stacked in piles. We woke up to grass cuttings sprinkled all over the plates and napkins because a tarp had not been laid down on that section during installation. The smaller tents were not pulled tight and held water - buckets and buckets of water. I will not recommend Rental World to anyone. They were worse than the pouring down rain on my daughter's wedding day. We keep asking ourselves what if it didn't rain, but then immediately revert to, what if we had a day to set up? There are some things that you cannot control. Make sure you choose the best for the things you can. read more

I've used Rental World for 2 events so far and I've received 5 star service both times. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating (even on last min. notice!). Their prices are super reasonable. Will continue to go back for all my rental needs!!! read more

We needed extra chairs for Christmas, I called and left a message not realizing they were already closed for the holidays. They called back and went out of their way to drive in and get us the chairs. How many businesses will take this kind of initiative for customer service? In today's day and age, it is difficult to find excellent customer service, friendly staff and excellent value all under one roof. I found it today at Rental World in Berkley, Michigan. I called this morning to rent two tables for my garage sale tomorrow, and I received some of the best treatment ever from a retail establishment. Easy, accommodating, and so nice.
