Anyway, check in was easy and the staff was friendly. I had no issues during my stay. I will say that I had a room next to the main drag and college kids like loud cars. So that was annoying at night when I was trying to sleep. My only real complaint is going to sound dumb and probably TMI, however I'm going to mention it. Their toilet paper sucks! It's the cheapest thinnest available. You would think with the price of the room that they would try to save money elsewhere. But they didn't. lol. Ok. I'm done with my rant. Anyway, other than the toilet paper my stay was great. The room was clean comfy. The HVAC worked great. The TV options were lacking. I couldn't get the football game so I ended up watching my phone. I was too lazy to walk a block or so to the bars to find the game. I wanted to lay in bed and watch the game. All in all, I will definitely try to stay here again if I'm in town again. The location sold me on this place. Oh, you have to pay to park which stinks. I'm from a small town and not used to that. Maybe it's a normal thing and I'm just not used to it. But I figured I would mention it.

Got us checked in and out on time Our rooms were clean and didnt have any issues with bedding or any missing items For the most part it was also extremely quiet and very friendly people through out the hotel during our stays The little market downstairs was very helpful as well as the breakfast counter when we were too tired to leave the hotel The location is great, literally next door to Aggieville so walking distance to the bars and shops The hotel itself looks very clean all around and secure to get in and out One issue that was annoying and more of a physical building issue. The parking lot entrance for larger cars can be a problem, it is a very tight squeeze into and out of the lot Not sure who designed that but getting in and out of the lot is a mission haha They needed to build the entrance much more wider, can see cars have a hard time coming in and out there's scrape marks on the poles and sides, might need to address that for the future just saying

We had a disgusting stay at this property. The carpets were sticky and smelled of stale beer. There were sharp items in the carpet. Soap dispensers were ripped off the walls in the bathroom. This hotel was dirty and it stunk. It was also extremely loud. I mean LOUD. It should be operating as it does. Cole, the "manager" reached out to waste our time with a bunch of fluff about how they will "try to improve." When we requested a modest refund, no response was given. That shows exactly what this hotel is and how it operates. Cole is as unprofessional and as dirty as this hotel. What an absolute joke. Avoid it at all cost!

We were in a beautiful suite with a full, gorgeous kitchen and living space, breathtaking views through a wall of windows in both the living and bedroom, and a quaint bedroom and en suite bathroom with double sinks! We stayed there last Sunday night, and though it is a lodge with three rooms, we were the only ones in the entire building! We had the idea to rent kayaks, but unfortunately did not have a way to transport them on our car to the nearby Fancy Creek, so we opted for hiking instead. There are a lot of trails near the lodge, many for four wheelers and mountain bikes. We had a nice hike in the area Sunday afternoon. We also had great communication with Drew, who helped us book via email and also stopped by to welcome us and see if he could help with anything. We also toured the wedding venue down the road from the lodge, which was really beautiful near the lake, with indoor and outdoor space. Drew mentioned that events could happen in the lodge to, seating up to 72 people in the lobby. I recommend bringing food to cook. We thought about going to the general store in Randolph (Short Stop) but it closed early on Sundays, so we decided to go out to dinner. On Sundays, the nearest places open for dinner (which were the same length drive from our house, so we could have gone home to grab ingredients) were The Little Grill in Manhattan near Tuttle Creek and La Fiesta in Clay Center. We had recently eaten at The Little Grill, so we went to Clay Center. It was not worth the hour drive and if you go on a night of the week when 15-24 Brewhouse is open, go there. We returned to enjoy pie I brought from Therapie's farmers market booth and relax. There is a huge TV on the wall. The next morning, we got up early to do a workout on the deck facing the lake, and worked in the living space until we left at 11 AM. It was a perfect little getaway and I would highly recommend a stay here!
