I think that makes me a regular in non-yelp land, though. Their flowers are always spectacular! They have things you'd never find anywhere else and their prices are pretty fair. Higher than Walmart & Lowes but they have way better stuff. I'm a green thumb kind of girl. I love being creative on my flowers and making something unique and pretty that I can really enjoy and be proud of all summer. It's just fun for me and I get into it. I've noticed the past 2 years that they are making up far more baskets, window boxes, and pre-potted ready to go mixes of plants in pots. I'm sure this appeals to many people and they make more money selling their ready to take home & just add water mixes. Unfortunately, they are using their best basket starters for these and leaving far less for the adventurous gardener (aka me) to really work with. I walked the aisles of the greenhouse today looking at amazing plants I would have loved to buy but they were only available in a pre-made grouping. I've made wonderful baskets and pots in years past using their basket starters that I loved and I feel like I just got my wings clipped! As a result, Mussig's got their 5 star review clipped to a 4. I really hope there's more to choose from next year.

It was cool to see so many plants thriving in this humid atmosphere, wish I could have bought some to take home with me but they would not do well in the Vegas desert. Staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable, and checked in on us while we were browsing. Good spot to grab a gift, they seem to have a good warranty program as well.

That said, I ran an errand for my wife to return a plant that did not make it to a year and would be covered under their warranty. My mother-in-law is a master Gardener and my wife is an ecologist who knows what she is talking about. But during my visit they had to get sign-off by two different people - one who confirmed what we already knew, one who apparently said "we didn't give it a fighting chance." Mind you, I'm hearing this all secondhand from an employee who was saying this to a cashier (and making sure I could hear her). It was a $45 plant, and the warranty was up in a week... And everything else we planted last year from them survived. They just need to do a little bit better here.

Pro tip: walk through first and take notes, then grab a buggy. The aisles are narrow, and the walk down to the last greenhouse is pretty steep, so it's easier if you already know what you want. They have a…read more*huge* selection of plants, including perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. They also offer planters, lawn decor, and other products. I was particularly interested in native perennial plants, and I eventually found some. I selected three plants that had blooming flowers and were reasonably priced. At the checkout counter, an employee immediately rang up my purchase and thanked me. Near the parking lot, I appreciated that the store offered plastic sheets for customers to use to protect their vehicles from the dirty plants. I did not find all of the plants that I wanted, but I did find a few plants, and I will certainly consider shopping here again in the future.
