The other staff was super sweet, especially the reception desk who worked with me to reschedule last minute. There's also parking, which is a huge plus. I didn't know before, but still found street parking only a block away. I also thoroughly enjoyed the salt room, such a cool touch. I've had massages in sterile white rooms before, but the salt room was fun. I will definitely be back.

They were friendly but not in that fake way that you see in a lot of the surface industry. I was offered a choice between tea and water and was given my paperwork to fill out. My facial with Terril was very relaxing. We went into the treatment room and discuss what my concerns were with my skin and what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. Terril was very attentive, asking questions along the way. One thing I really liked was that the table was heated because I've been having some issues with my back that make it uncomfortable to lay down so having that heated surface under my back made my appointment even more relaxing. My skin felt amazing when she was done, even though she had to do a few extractions. I was so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a few months out so that my skin will be able to recover from the upcoming summer months. I highly recommend checking out this wonderful little spa and I look forward to returning for my next facial.

That said, the overall experience did not quite meet my expectations. I booked the sauna and a foot soak. The space is large and open, and the bathrooms are co-ed. In the back near the saunas, there are hard wooden lounge chairs for resting between sessions. I personally found them uncomfortable and not very relaxing, which felt like an odd choice for a spa environment. There are two sauna rooms, one designated quiet and one more social. Even so, the overall atmosphere leaned very social. People were talking, laughing, and moving around, which made it harder to fully relax. For me, it felt more like a communal hangout than a serene spa escape. If you are looking for an affordable sauna experience or planning a social outing with friends, this is a solid option. It is approachable, lively, and budget friendly. If you are seeking a quiet, white glove, deeply relaxing solo spa experience, this may not be the best fit. For that level of ambiance and calm, I would likely look elsewhere.

I was a bit worried it would be crowded on a weekend, but we went Saturday night, and it wasn't crowded at all (after 5pm). I recc the foot soak with upgrade of signature mask and tea. The sauna wasn't unbearably hot which was nice. They even had swimsuits to borrow in case you forgot yours. If I lived in PDX I'd be here weekly. Thank you!

Although it can be intimidating to…read morewalk into a niche skincare storefront, the store on Alberta smells *amazing* and the staff are quite helpful. (You can even catch a peek of the kitchen behind the checkout counter.) Now, I am a person who does not have a "skincare routine," nor do I desire to create one; I came to Blendily for practical reasons: To look for a new shampoo which didn't come in a plastic bottle. Although they were out of stock for shampoo bars, I was added to a wait list for the next batch. Lo and behold, I received an email within a few weeks letting me know they were back in stock. This was super efficient, and while I could have saved $5 by purchasing it online since they also sent a coupon (!), I went back to the store and ended up buying a shave bar alongside the shampoo. The staff and store felt gender-inclusive; most scents are neither overtly masculine nor superfluously feminine. I have been satisfied with both of my soap bars, although my shower looks obnoxious with a stack of soap cakes piled up on the shelf. (People with things like a "skincare routine" would probably invest in a soap bag or something, which they also sell at Blendily.) The only modification I made to my purchases was to chop off the flowers and herbs decorating one side of the soap / shampoo bars, because while they were certainly beautiful, it felt quite impractical for chamomile flowers to fall into my hair while washing. For those not ready to commit to an entire bar of specialty soap, homemade lotion, or other full-size products, Blendily sells trial sized bottles of most things, including soap ends for $5. I'd definitely recommend signing up for their email list and/or checking out their online store.

He's a genius, a saint, perfection! Can't wait to continue to see improvements in my skin. I'm sure this person's actual skin services and skills are there, however their customer service is not. I had a short text exchange with Harley to set up a consultation, as I have intricate skin due to a genetic condition, I wanted to make sure the person potentially applying chemicals and needles to my skin knew what they were doing. His response was ableist. He dismissed specific concerns about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) skin, stating, "Nobody has experience with that dear." This minimized the challenges associated with EDS, implying that the skin condition is not a valid consideration. Additionally, by mentioning his own experience with EDS and stating, "but it doesn't really pertain to esthetics," he further contributed to a dismissive tone regarding the unique needs of someone with EDS. An inclusive and understanding response would have acknowledged the challenges posed by EDS and expressed a willingness to adapt services accordingly. The statement that Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) has nothing to do with esthetics pertaining to skincare is not entirely accurate. EDS is a rare condition that affects connective tissue, including the skin. People with EDS often have fragile and stretchy skin, making skincare a unique challenge. Common EDS skin problems include sensitive and fragile skin, as well as abnormal scarring due to abnormal collagen production. Therefore, individuals with EDS may need to avoid certain beauty treatments and take preventative measures to care for their skin, such as using moisturizers, sunscreen, and avoiding trauma to the skin. While EDS does not directly relate to traditional esthetic skincare treatments, it does have implications for skincare due to the unique characteristics of EDS skin. Therefore, it is important for individuals with EDS to approach skincare with caution and seek advice from healthcare professionals familiar with the condition. For individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), skincare is a unique challenge due to the condition's effects on the skin. EDS can cause sensitive, fragile skin and abnormal scarring, making traditional skincare treatments potentially risky.
