I called on 12-18 and got an appointment with Billie Jo for 12-23, just in time for Christmas. I have very thick, long ( mid-back) hair, and I'm usually in the chair at least an hour. Billie Jo washed, dried and styled my hair in 30 min. She listened to my concerns, and did my hair perfectly, not flat ironing too much and giving my bangs some volume. Last year even though my teeth looked perfect, they were not. Autoimmune had taken over causing them to pretty much cave from the inside and eventually out. I'm going to out myself here because I think it is important to raise awareness. When I would see someone without teeth I would in my head assume drugs. For everyone's sake, please don't be judgemental like I was. On April 9th I was scheduled for a full mouth extraction with immediate temps. This has been a mental and I mean extremely emotional journey. To this day I've still not come to terms with it because it does hurt to be "young" with dentures. I've cried so much because I looked like I was from whoville. With no top lip really to begin with I talked to Anjee and had lip filler just because I wanted "my smile" I'm not here for "I'm sorry's" I'm here this morning to show the raw truth of what a judgemental soul such as I was can perceive things. My shameful ways of thinking about others with dental problems. So God gracefully humbled me and I'm here to tell my story. No drugs. Am I ashamed?
