While consulting with him he noticed several other issues ( The saddle not orientated properly during the original build, a burr on my B string tuning peg that was cutting and breaking my string, the action on my guitar was too high making playing more difficult.) All of these were solved by him in one day along with vacuuming out the inside of my guitar and cleaning and treating the wood. I was super impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. Will be back. My guitar looks and plays better now than when it was brand new.

A couple of days later, I get a call from Kira letting me know my rental is processed and ready to be picked up. The location is convenient and has ample parking. We get to the store and see that they are very well organized and knowledgeable. I may have paid a bit more per month than going through IPSF but it's 100% worth it. IPSF is a waste of time and they are not organized. What IPSF does is have you keep checking with them over and over again. Like others have mentioned, Bertrand's is a breath of fresh air. This father son dynamic duo of luthier/musicians is absolutely the best of the best, recognized worldwide for their skill and talent. Of course they are knowledgeable. What may be less known to people is just how welcoming, down to earth, and helpful they are when you work with them - no matter what your level or ability. I have been a professional musician on and off for over thirty years. Admittedly, it has been more off than on for the last decade (plus). I am trying to learn the difficult and ornate Manouche Jazz style of guitar made famous by Django Reinhardt (which Tommy specializes in). It's still very early for me in this pursuit. In short, as a client, I'm the worst of two worlds... I'm super rusty AND a newbie! But, that didn't matter to Tommy and Stephen Davy. They treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism from first contact via text messages through to well after the sale and work being done. They treated me like I was a pro who just walked in off tour and needed an instrument and adjustment.
