Great location (and quick walks) to ballparks or downtown activities. The upside is the hotel decor is very updated and both the desk staff and the valet staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was on the 14th floor facing the Ohio River and the views from the two tall windows were excellent. There is a bar and restaurant located on the first floor. The hotel itself is in a renovated older building where you can still see some of the luxurious touches from the past- like the gold toned ornate elevator doors on the main floor. Housekeeping was a little slow, but other than that our stay was great.

The staff and accommodations are amazing. Rachel and Thomas are the best and went out of the way to be helpful for my friends birthday celebration. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel, the staff are so amazing and nice. I was in the Club Lounge in the evening & the food was good it was stuffed peppers with rice & it was so good. I most definitely like the change thats in there with the food it has been different food items in there. I like the live music on Wednesday's. The next morning while I was enjoying my breakfast a man named Rejfo had asked me how was my stay & I had told him that it was lovely the staff was very nice.

Shower door that didn't slide shut!

The hotel is in a good location and the staff were very friendly, but the stained sheets and towels ruined everything! For that reason alone, I can't recommend the hotel. At $350 a night and $48 parking, it was extremely disappointing.

The Renaissance is our home away from home! We live about an hour away from Cincinnati, so we come down and stay for a weekend probably once a quarter. Check-in is always easy and personable. We always valet our car and receive quick and friendly service. We'll see you again in a few months. Definitely recommend!

I was sneezing and had a sore throat instantly. I had to wipe this disgusting vent down

We stayed in room 1121, instanly started sneezing and had a itchy throat. The amount of dust and dirtiness is to another level especially where the towels were placed!! I had to wipe down the vent. And if you dont want to throw up, dont look at the dust behind the bed! See pics The lighting is the bathroom is so low for make up, i had to drag in both accent lamps to the bathroom, lighting was still low and very yellow. There was 1 tiny trash can for the entire room. The toliet tissue holder was behind and far from the toliet, so you have to turn around and it's very uncomfortable. The sliding shower door would not stay shut, so water was everywhere when taking a shower

Renaissance is a beautiful downtown massive skyscraper Marriott owned hotel in Cincinnati Ohio. Located just a few blocks from popular attractions such as the home stadiums of the cities professional baseball and football stadiums. This former bank which gave out chocolate coins for my 4 kiddos is really stunning and beautiful. You can valet park for $40 bucks are round the corner and park in the Westin parking garage for $17 a night. We set parked but I noticed Valet takes the car down the street to an uncovered private lot. Watching the valets sprint up a large hill from the lot to the hotel made me tired. Me and my family was in town for a Billy Joel concert at great American ballpark. We travel quite a bit and use Marriott a lot so we are gold elite members. Because of this the hotel offered us free bottled waters from the marketplace anytime we wanted and a complimentary breakfast in the morning. So it's always nice to be rewarded for being a loyal member. Our room was on the 15th floor and had really pretty views of the city and the Ohio river. We got the two Queen suite and our room was very lovely and updated. Very unique and hip art and comfortable beds with an air condition that was working greatly. We had a very comfy stay in our room. The hotel was perfect for our concert. We could walk to great American ball park in about 5 min and the football stadium probably would of taken Lee's then ten minutes to walk too. So this is a perfect spot for people attending games or events at either stadium. The complimentary breakfast was great. Fresh cooked eggs and bacon with you other usual selections in cereal, juices and muffins. The establishment did have a swanky upscale on site restaurant called J burnhams. We dined there the night of the concert and it was pretty tasty. Overall we had a great visit here. Worked perfect for what we needed. Close proximity, comfy and big rooms and great service. This will be my go to cincy hotel from now on.

I definitely recommend staying here! It is perfectly located in downtown. We went to a Reds game, the casino, & ate at several restaurants around the hotel. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to go to during our weekend stay. The staff were super nice. The room was super nice.

Always live staying at Renaissance locations. This location was no different. Friendly staff, modern decor, great beds and bathrooms. My room was perfect other than the fact that it had a view of a brick wall. Would stay here again.

For some context, I live in NYC and travel quite a bit for work, including to Cincinnati where my organization is based. I almost exclusively stay at Marriott properties. I have stayed in several different Marriott hotels in Downtown Cincinnati (The Courtyard, The Westin, AC Hotels in the Banks, etc.) and this was my second stay at this Renaissance. To be frank, my first stay at this Renaissance (which was back in July 2022) was NOT my favorite stay and my stay earlier last week was downright subpar. My colleagues and I all stayed at the hotel for a work retreat and we all had several issues with our stays. Here's a snippet of what I experienced during my stay: - My check-in experience felt impersonal and rushed. The receptionist who helped me didn't acknowledge my status and loyalty to Marriott (I'm Titanium Elite with standard in every hotel i've stayed in); barely acknowledged me, in general; and initially placed me in a room that was facing other rooms until I explicitly asked for a different room and one preferably with a view (which, to be fair, he did oblige and changed my room). I also had to ask specific questions about information that should have automatically been provided to me upon check-in. Overall, the receptionist just did not seem interested in me as a guest and i've had better check-in experiences at a Courtyard Inn (lower category hotel). - When I got to my room, the windows were entirely covered in what looked like browning, peeling plastic and the bathroom did not look particularly clean, including what looked like some sort of dried crust on the counter (see photos). I did not feel comfortable staying in that room so I went back down to the front desk to request a different one. I will say that the receptionist was helpful in finding me a different room. - However, the second room I moved in to also had several issues, and it also didn't seem particularly clean, but seemed a little cleaner than the previous room so I didn't bother trying to change rooms again or reporting it because I was already pretty tired and had to work. Some of the issues in this room were something that looked like sticky liquid streaks down the back of the door, one of the mirror lights in the bathroom didn't work, the toilet seat was very loose (as was the toilet handle), there were noticeable stains on the carpet, and there was only one towel and one hand towel in the room and no shower floor mat provided (so I had to use a hand towel to make sure the floor didn't get wet; I only discovered this when I was right about to shower). - The hotel's R-Club lounge had no beverages or snacks throughout the day. This was particularly strange for me since I have never stayed in any Marriott hotel that had a lounge that didn't have basic soft drinks, juices, and/or light snacks. As a frequent business traveler, having this as a simple amenity makes a big difference when I have to work late or don't have time for meals. The lounge DID serve breakfast, but being able to grab a piece of fruit or a soft drink in between those times is a minor thing that can make a big difference for travelers. - I ordered room service one night and although the food was fine, and was delivered promptly, the person who delivered it was a bit unpleasant; not friendly at all. - Lastly, upon check-out I received an e-mail from a Front Office Ambassador for this hotel asking for feedback on how to ensure they can provide a "10-star experience"; several other folks (I assume also staff of the hotel) were copied on the e-mail; I took the time to share some feedback with the front office ambassador and the other folks who were copied, in the hopes of genuinely helping the hotel address some of the issues that I and my colleagues experienced . . . I heard nothing back from the hotel at all; not even an acknowledgement of receipt (and it's been well over a week). Crickets. To summarize, I don't think this hotel lives up to the service, cleanliness, or amenities standards of most Marriott properties and definitely doesn't live up to the Renaissance name. And clearly, even if you share feedback, they're clearly not interested in actually providing a good hotel experience for guests. Trust me . . . stay elsewhere.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

Neighborhood could be sketchy at night. We're from Detroit area so NBD to us for frame of reference. Our room was very very clean, unlike some of the other reviews I've read about this location. The beds were very comfortable. One of the reasons I like choice hotels. I've always slept well in their bed's because they're on the softer side with soft pillows and sheets. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. And 2 complimentary water bottles. The only reason I don't give 4 stars is when I happen to look in the microwave there was an ingrained bug imprint on the side. I've never seen that before in my life!!! I'm sure those micro waves cost less than 30 bucks! Luckily we didn't need to heat anything and I happen to see it in the morning when actually marveling how clean the room was. The microwave was clean despite the bug impression. Having been a cleaning lady through college and a nurse now. I know if I worked there and did that good of a job cleaning I would throw that microwave out! So whoever deals with that? Lost a star on me. Overall I'd stay there again. Probably not make a vacation out of it. But, it suited our purpose for a fun night. And we slept well. There was an indoor pool that looked nice. We didn't use it. I would only give 5 stars for above and beyond. We've slept in hotels in Corbin that I wouldn't give 1 star to because they were so dirty as we were passing through that are very near the Radisson. We would definitely stay at the Raddison again despite the picture I'll post.

Breakfast was actually phenomenal. A whole room of food and made to order omelets. Breakfast staff was also really attentive and kind. Parking is $12 if you don't need to leave otherwise it's $22. My kids really enjoyed the staycation as did I.

The rooms are older, but it was clean and has a great set up. The location is perfect, an easy walk to any stadium, the tailgating area, dozens of bars and all the parks/walking trails. The staff was the best part. The checking was effortless, the people friendly, the food really fresh and tasted great. There is a full bar, breakfast buffet and snack shop. Overall this should be a top choice to consider as a home base for cheering on your team or staying for business.

I stayed for 2 nights and left my DND sign up, and a friendly note was slid under the door letting me know if I needed anything, they were just a phone call away. I appreciated that. Stayed in Room 415. Didn't get a chance to take advantage of the pool and breakfast, but both looked great. No complaints here! :-)

We had an amazing stay at this IHG hotel for one night in early May, 2023…read more -- Our room, which was a king suite with "additional living space", was gigantic and sleeps 4. It was actually two separate large rooms -- one was the bedroom with a king bed and the other a sitting room with a pullout couch and a 43" flat screen tv and WiFi. There was a separate area that included a microwave, small fridge, coffee machine, etc. Also, a doored closet for your coats. -- The suite, including bathroom, was modern and very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and basic toiletries were provided. -- Before arrival, we were concerned that the rooms might be noisy due the hotel's proximity to the bridge. This turned out to be unfounded as we could barely hear the bridge traffic. -- The hotel has a swimming room and on-site fitness room that we didn't use. -- The free breakfast had a huge variety of hot (eggs, sausages, oatmeal, pancakes) and cold (cereals, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruits) options, as well as different options for coffees, teas, and hot chocolate. Offerings were replenished regularly. -- Location is good for driving access to the Cincinnati riverfront area. (For instance, the Underground Railroad Museum is only about 5 minutes by car across the bridge). -- There was free parking. We parked in the lot behind the hotel, from which there was key-controlled access to the hotel. A few additional things worth noting. -- The hotel is on the Ohio River, and its name includes the term "Riverfront." However, there wasn't easy walking access to the river, nor did we have a river view. -- Upon our first approach to the hotel, we found that it was adjacent to two liquor stores -- and what we thought was hotel parking was actually parking for one of the busy liquor stores.

I've stayed at many luxury five-star hotels, but this place left a much stronger impression on me than most of them. The hotel has a warm, inviting ambiance, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond. If you're looking for a place to stay, look no further. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

On the plus sign, valet, front desk, and all personnel are customer focused. Building was renovated in the past 10 years, and all details are lovely. Extremely clean. Rooms are large and very luxe. Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.
