I had total knee replacement early October 2022, and was referred here by my surgeon. Mind you in…read morethe past I have used no less than 3 different physical therapy centers in Griffin after my first knee replacement 2 years ago. The first time around was just plain brutal. They would have lay me on the table a bend that knee til I said stop. And the place wasn't very clean. My first TKR recovery was tough, 5-6 months before I walked without an Cain. And I know every TKR is different, as well as the therapist. Well now I'm at my 4th PT center in 2 1/2 years. What a wonderful place. I was welcomed by a wonderful lady named Vanessa. She got all of my paperwork together, and all of the admin stuff. And she collects the money. She takes your money with a smile. Everyone was pleasant, and welcoming. I started my rehab with Reba who explained my entire rehab plan, and I was told what to expect. From there over the coarse of 8 weeks I would have Miranda, the owner, Sheila (always has a smile and a hug for you), walk me through my rehab exercises. They were careful not to cause any pain. In the beginning I expected hands on pushing, stretching, pulling right off the bat , I had anxiety over it the days before I started. Totally different from what I was expecting from previous experiences. They always took into consideration my pain tolerance. They would just ease me into the next step, and before you realize it I was further along than you thought . Thanks Miranda, Sheila, Reba, and Vanessa for helping me towards a speedy recovery. I highly recommend this business....

Waited over 3 hours for simple blood work to determine the nature of illness. I tried to leave and…read moresaid I would retrieve my blood work via MyChart. Was rudely treated by admissions personnel and ER nurse. They insisted I remain. Kept promising I was next to see the doctor. I firmly believe there was no doctor attending and they just kept rotating waiting patients to back for vitals then back to waiting room. I never saw a doctor anywhere. It's either, inefficient, incompetent or indifferent. Either way, watching patients suffer for these short coming was too much after 3 and one half hours. We left in abject disgust. If you are the doctor in charge or an administrator with some authority seeking recommendations for improvement, I encourage you to contact me through MyChart or by phone to further discuss these matters. My bet is....you won't.

My husband was taken to Wellstar Spalding ER on 7/16/26 for severe stomach pain. They performed a…read moreCT scan and did lab work. We were told that nothing showed on the CT scan or the lab work. Still in pain he was discharged home at 1200 midnight. They didn't even prescribe him any medication for pain. My husband was in pain all night and was vomiting. We returned to Wellstar Spalding that same morning at 930. They did more lab work. I asked them to perform another CT scan this time with contrast so that the visibility of specific tissues and organs would be enhance (I work in the medical field) because I knew something was badly wrong with my husband. They refused and said that the contrast wouldn't make a difference and that hospitals were experiencing a shortage of contrast. They diagnosed him with constipation and discharged him. I and my family rejected the diagnosis and demanded they did more testing; the ER staff simply told us it was definitely constipation and discharged my husband with a prescription for magnesium citrate (a laxative). Once we arrived home, my husband's pain was unbearable. I and our children took him to Atrium Navicent Hospital ER in Macon, GA. There they performed a series of test, bloodwork, and yes, a CT scan with contrast. It was found that my husband was suffering from a bowel obstruction. He was admitted and surgery was performed. Today is 7/23/26 and my husband is still in the hospital at Atrium Navicent. I am at his bedside as I type this review. I and my family will NEVER EVER go to Wellstar Spalding for anything! I pray that anyone that read my review will not go there either, they do not care about their patient! Go to Atrium Navicent in Macon!
