We are so thrilled with our daughter's University of Arizona graduation photos from Jennifer Lee…read morePhotography! This was everything we hoped for and her photos came out capturing our daughter's smile ; personality; the memories of her years at U of A. We even had some photos taken in the desert to show what going to college in Arizona truly embodies ! We wanted some photos taken with her boyfriend and her bestie in their cap and gowns too; that was not an issue! Jennifer has a lot of patience and goes over everything with you when you pre - hire and post - hire her. If you have questions , she is quick to respond ... I had many! My daughter wanted A LOT of 'props' and poses and I wanted to make sure we didn't spend twelve hours in the heat , for example, baking doing 150 repetitive scorpions for the perfect shot ! Jennifer also allowed for a few changes in clothing / shoes for different places on campus and to the 'golden hour ' at Sabino Canyon.. she even brought a beautiful antique pink velvet chair for the shoot! We were allowed to pick a lot of shots to have edited .. there were so many great ones to choose from , it was hard! Then the prints you can actually purchase from Jennifer's site are very good quality and came in two days , which was amazing as I used them at Alexa's graduation celebration at our country club and her guest book! The wallets were great for the announcements & thank you notes ! We are so impressed! Prefect in so many ways ! You get these memories once in a lifetime.. don't take the chance of not having them be all they should be .. We didn't find Jennifer Lee to be over the top expensive or unreasonable and she spent a lot of time making sure she got the perfect shots !

John Bae is an amazing photographer! I'm from Los Angeles and have been in Tucson for 12 years…read more I've worked with several different Tucson photographers, and we got the best pictures from John. My daughter took her senior pictures with him, and she did 4 outfit changes on location. He was so good with her, as she was a bit tentative and nervous in the beginning, but John put her at ease with his encouraging, high energy. He was super good giving her direction as well, really bringing out her personality and beauty. He also just took our family portrait for our annual Christmas card. We love you, John! Tucson is lucky to have this gem!

He really impressed us with his keen…read moreeye to capture the subtle sweet moments of the day, as well as capturing the emotion of the bigger moments. We loved that John was able capture the traditional feel of our special day (which is what my husband wanted), and also take more of a artistic point of view per my request. My husband and I joked about how we really couldn't see him unless we looked for him. (unless of course he was giving needed direction) However, he was able to produce the most amazing photos of the ceremony from all angles... we have no clue how he did it. haha John also worked in a time efficient manor when it came to family and wedding party photos. He's creative with his surroundings, communicates directions well, and is time efficient in making the photos available. We are looking forward to using Bae Foto for our kids graduation photos when the time comes!

Holly Harris was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer and more! From the moment she…read morearrived, she brought an energy that made the whole day feel easy, joyful, and completely ours. Holly turned normally-staged photos (which could be very awkward) into something that felt genuinely fun. What set Holly apart to us was how seen she made us feel. As a gay couple, Holly didn't just tolerate or accept our love story, she truly helped us celebrate it. All the photos are stunning, she captured tender emotional moments, hilarious candids, and cinematic portraits full of life. AND, the photos she took of my French Bulldog at the venue still take my breath away - we will treasure them forever. We cannot recommend Holly highly enough!

Miss Harris is a wonderful photographer who will capture meaningful images for you to cherish for…read moreyears to come, and who I have known and worked with for 13 years. A few things to keep in mind though... She is not Glamour Shots or Sears Portrait Studio. If you want a cheesy star filter to make your ring or tiara go BLING, or a soft glow and bleached-out skin tone out to hide your acne scars, she's probably not for you. If you want everyone to look like a bunch of posed stiffs like they're straight out of American Gothic, she's also not your snapper. What she WILL give you are editorial-style photos that evoke carefree, candid aesthetic. Think "at-home" or event profiles in Real Simple or Martha Stewart. She is not Annie Leibovitz and will not be bringing 5 assistants and building a set at your reception. There's no time and that's not why you came to her. But the pretty doesn't all just pop out of her head...photographing an event is a collaboration between client and photographer. Tips for success with ANY photographer: Make a list of important shots. If you can't think of it, look online. Martha Stewart has a great one to springboard off. Cross off the ones you don't want, underline the ones you do, add any that are missing. Talk to the photographer. Tell her or him about the most meaningful shots you envision. They want this to be a happy, memorable day for you...it's their job. Please help them do it because part of their job is not to be clairvoyant. Assign a friend or family member NOT in the wedding party to be your people wrangler. The photographer doesn't know who Uncle Ned on your mom's side twice removed is or that he likes to bring a flask with him and might be hiding somewhere. And she or he can't tell the difference amongst the 5 dark haired children running around to grab the one that needs to be in such and such photo. Expecting otherwise, takes away from their ability to properly document your lovely event. So what have we learned? Photographers are there to take pictures. NOT to read your mind or wrangle friends and family. Photographers WANT to take beautiful photos and for you to be happy. All this means that a lot of things need to be ironed-out before the big day.
