Since 2001, I had visited multitude of Doctors and Surgeons and had multiple procedures to my Neck and throat to treat my condition, all of which had some temporary relief. I had visited 6 or 7 sleep disorder specialist up and down the West coast. I was fortunate enough to finally meet Dr. Eric Kezirian, early 2015. From the get go, it was all about what was right for my specific condition, all kinds of tests and findings. Dr. Kezirian always explained the procedures, and the office staff the associated costs. No surprises. Dr. Kezirian and his staff (even though they didn't have to ) went through a grueling 18 months battle with my insurance company to try and get me approved for the Inspire device and even worked harder to help me find sources that would offset some of the costs associated with my surgery. (Not quite sure how but at some point I received a letter from the Congress in Washington, ordering my Insurance Company to approve the Inspire Device for me. I imagine Dr. Kezirian and his team had a lot to do with that !) I have now had the device for over a year, and my sleep apnea is well under control. The Good Doctor and his team have been a life saver, and I cannot say enough about his exceptional approach to patient care. Thank you all at the Keck School of Medicine for all that you have done for me and my family thanks you.

Two other doctors I saw told me that I absolutely do not have a deviated septum while he said I needed "immediate surgery". I would avoid him at all costs.

A year of suffering and a hospitalization had not led me to a solution or to the cause of my pain and rapid loss of mobility. After a series of weekly visits, I was guided back to normalcy. Some tips during treatment keep me on course. I will return for occasional visits as needed. Thank you, Dr. Barton, for your guidance, wisdom and empathy. I am 76 and I want to avoid surgery whenever I can and take care of my body.

There's a kind of warm energy buzzing through it. When I walked in, a few staff members immediately checked in with me--offered help, asked if I needed anything, and seemed like they meant it. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like an inconvenience for just... being there. Dr. Barton himself? Warm, sharp, unhurried. He asked specific questions, zero judgment, no rush--just actual conversation. You can tell he likes his job and takes it seriously. Also? He's a lot more personable than you'd expect from someone who's double-board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. (Which sounds a bit like a Marvel super-scientist resume, but I digress). ‍‍ Bottom line: if you're looking for a doctor who listens, thinks out loud with you, respects your time, and actually gives a damn--Dr. Barton checks every box, and then some.

Great, more bad experiences at this Kaiser. I went into the Optical/Vision Essentials department &…read morethe staff were just chatting about bonuses other employees will be receiving, & didn't even greet patients for about 20 minutes. Then, when I picked up my glasses, the lady was extremely sarcastic and unhelpful. It's like I was a burden to her doing her job, I guess she wanted to stay chatting with the front desk lady. If it's someone's first time wearing a certain type of glasses, how are they supposed to know how to use them? It's literally their job as an optical dispenser to help. Instead she was giggling & said, "I don't know why you're putting your glasses on like that, they're crooked," with an attitude. Keep in mind, My glasses were also very strong at first & i was trying to get adjusted to them, I didn't get any real help or guidance. I was way too kind to be treated this way. The lab, front desk, & optical department all need to be looked into because this is ridiculous. I hope something is done because I wouldn't want other patients to be experiencing this.
