In the end, I wrote out a check for the purchase of the Silencerco Osprey, and shook their hands. Note to others going into Denver Bullets. This is a Class Three gun shop. Class 3 items consist of suppressors (Silencers), Short-Barreled Rifles (SBR), Short-Barreled Shotguns (SBS -barrel under 18") and full-auto machine guns. They deal in NFA weapons -nothing in there will be cheap. If you want ammunition, go to WalMart, your local gun shop, or shop online.

Specialty Sports is the best gun shop in the springs…read more They have a simply enormous selection. To give you the idea of the scale of their inventory: the store is the size of a large Walgreens. The entire outer wall of the store is lined with rifles and shotguns almost touching each other, with pistol display cases in front. They have two display cases alone that are full of top-end 1911's - Les Baer, Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, etc. And then the interior of the store is full of accessories. The store is very well-staffed - there's always someone free to help you - and the staff are uniformly knowledgeable and patient. They will take the time to explain whatever questions you have. Yes, a few of the younger guys have a little bit of an attitude, and you may occasionally hear someone's opinion. What do you expect? This is a gun store, after all. The prices are...unremarkable. Nothing is marked up or inflated, but they're not giving anything away either. They have recently added a two-level display case full of new pistols on sale at what looked to be extremely competitive prices, but in general, they are not trying to compete on price.

As I recall, the sales rep was cautiously watching my reaction, when he scanned and stole my information. Sportsman policy is to never asked for the customer's info, just steal it. I thought scanning my info was another violation of my constitutional rights by the state. But the state does not require copied or reported data, just a visually confirmation of the buyer's age. I will never set a foot in that store again!

So I know they treat me well because they're a wonderful bunch of people. That said, when so many other places in town had no ammo, Springs Armory always seemed to be working hard to get ammo. AND, as an added bonus, when they do get new ammo (and firearms), they put out a fun and informative video to let everyone know. As a veteran, I also appreciate the deals offered as a Thank You for my service. When I am in the market for any weapons or ammo, they'll always be my first choice.

You're only as strong as your weakest link. Fellas in the back are great, but Jackie's attitude takes away from all of that. I even watched a customer leave and politely told her to have a nice day etc and she couldn't even be bothered to give that customer a thank you or goodbye. Unreal. UPDATE: response from the owner shows a lack of accountability. Not once did I have any negative interactions with anyone else but her. You can go on and on and make up lies but there are multiple reviews similar to mine stating she has a terrible attitude. You will not get any of my money and every single person I come in to contact with who shoots will know about this. Fail response and fail business. Take your money elsewhere people

You obviously did not fully read or understand my review which was three stars, neutral, not bad, that can change. Simple, if you don't want reviews where people call you out on your high prices adjust your prices to be more competitive. Ever hear the phrase "you get more flies with honey than with vinegar"? Being rude to people that leave you a bad review, condescend or insult them is not the way to go about it, this isn't twitter. Maybe you should leave the public relations to someone else because you are terrible at it. '

I grew up with shotguns and rifles, but not pistols. Even though I've shot my 357 several times, I know more about it and pistols with magazines, vs. my revolver. I'd definitely recommend this class with Ava if you're interested in applying for your concealed carry permit and being more comfortable with that decision.

I thought that perhaps the instructor was just cutting it close and would open up at 9am. While waiting in my car, I checked to make sure I had the correct date, time, and address. I did. A little weird that Elite Firearms would direct me to Spartan Defense as the location for their course. It would appear they use the same instructor. Regardless, no one came. The store didn't open. And no one contacted me to tell me the class was cancelled or moved. I called Elite Firearms, but got no answer. I even drove to Elite Firearms to see if maybe the class was at their location and my email just had an erroneous address. But Elite Firearms was closed too. The owner called me later that day to apologize and offer a refund and free class. I still haven't gotten the refund (or an email with proof of refund issued), but it's only been a day. Will update if I get it. Regardless, this doesn't seem like a reliable business, so I'll have to go elsewhere. I'm a shift worker with a rotating schedule, so it's tough to line up classes, events, etc. I can't afford to adjust my calendar and sleep schedule and then have the class fall through with no notice.
