After 4 years (for into their rental program back in 2017)I'm finding out that Reliance put lien on my home. Please be careful!! Don't be a victim like me. I wasn't told that they will put lien on my property. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! It has been 2 weeks since I called and send email for someone to reach out but no one did. This shows who hey are. Sad I'm finding out after 4 years, wish I did more research before getting in with this mess!! After 4 years the pay out amount was given is around $8300 BUT they still won't change the lien amount $12600. Only choice I left is to pay out to get out of this mess! HORRIBLE! I have a water heater leak. I scheduled an appt. Thursday Oct. 6th from 7-11pm. No call saying they're on their way so at 1030 I call saying I'd like an ETA. They said you can't call yet b/c it's not 11. I said well is he coming or not? They said he's on route.... 1106 I call back and they apologize. They say they can't reach him. i ask for a call back from a manager. Nothing. I call back 2 more times asking for a call back and still nothing. They said they see a note that he couldn't reach me! Are you kidding me? I was home with my phone on and nothing. Loser probably went home or out with friends instead of helping a tired mother who has to get up early to go to work! Yes, I do my job. I want to make it clear that he didn't show up and should not be paid but no one is calling back. Do NOT use this company. When I call they apologize but do NOTHING! We have been without a furnace for 3 days. Although the parts have arrived, Reliance can't come for 2 more days. It been dropping to -20 Celsius each night. The service booking agents have such an Indian accident that I can't understand half of what they are saying, and they're repair guys are pushy salespeople. Will never please call me Reliance again. Unfortunately there are no negative stars otherwise I would give this company negative 5 stars. I am ruing the day, my drinking water filtration system was taken over by Reliance. Under my contract with old company which Reliance took over, I have a 10 year price freeze and also they need to replace chlorine filters every year. I call Reliance every year and tell the booking agent to make sure the technician brings the right filters as the system is not the one from Reliance but from Excalibur which Reliance took over. For the last 4 years, they have been replacing filters after multiple calls to them. This year, one technician came couple of weeks, I asked him did you bring the filers. He said no and that I have to pay for the filters. I called Reliance again and asked booking agent to speak to one of the Supervisors who told the booking agent that filters are send to home when need to be replaced. Clearly this Supervisor did not know what he/she was talking about. My profile has several messages and they never read. Another Technician came last week after booking agent put detailed note to bring these specific filters. And yet again, technician did not bring these filters. Such a waste of time, he actually tried to convince me to switch to new Reliance water osmosis system. Reliance has been charging me extra for the last 6 months despite a price freeze under my contract. I have better chances of winning a lotto than Reliance fix my billing error and change filters without me explaining these issues every year. I am just waiting for my contract to end and never ever deal with Reliance again. The worst customer service experience ever. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with them and Reliance has now become an expert on making the same mistake every year despite claiming to have up to date technology. Please don't deal with this company. Booking agents don't know a thing, technicians don't have any say or power to do anything and Supervisor/Managers are not interested in your issues. read more

There is not enough negative ratings that I can give. !! I was offered discounts on my install and nothing has been applied to my account and they keep sending nasty letters to collect the funds that aren't payable. When you call in they tell you to pay it and it will come off eventually. The sales rep said it isn't his job and to not contact him again when he was the one that sold me the products. There is NO customers service and they don't try to help their customers. Once the products are installed you are on your own !! read more

If I could give a rating in the negatives I would. We have had no hot water since Sunday poor customer service in office lack of communication. Rented tankless water heater for 8 years never service in that time just repaired when broken twice. I don't think this a mechanic or technician problem just two many bean counters in the office fucking things up. Mechanics seems capable and well trained while office staff seem to struggle with English. read more

After leaving me with no hot water or heat for nearly a week with a 6 week old baby, I experienced the worst customer service. And my battle continues. 2 months later and I have only 5 minutes of hot water after doubling my bill. Having at least 12 technicians back and forth while the service manager, Rishi and the installation manager Dan refuse to help. They rather pass the mistake on to some one else that clearly cannot correct it. Through out all the phone calls I have had to make it's been a miracle if someone would even follow through and call me back. I would never recommend this company. After buying my first house, I noticed Reliance Home Comfort has been charging rental fees of the Water Heater on my Enbridge bill. I asked Reliance for a copy of the rental contract explaining the terms and conditions of the charges. After more than a month and a dozen phone calls and e-mails, Reliance is unable to send me a rental agreement. Fair is fair, if they can't show me a valid rental agreement, I asked them to stop charging me the rental fees and take the tank away. They insist that I will be subject to a contract termination fee on a contract they are unable to reproduce. Lesson for anyone reading this is: Don't rent a water heater. You don't rent your shingles, your fridge or your furnace, why rent a water heater? You end up paying for the same water heater ten times with the rental payments. If you had to rent, don't rent from Reliance. That company is in the practice of charging its customers rental fees without being able to show them a rental agreement so the customer can understand exactly what they are paying for.
